View Full Version : Bad news on TCM DVD...

Two versions ofThe Texas Chainsaw Massacre is coming out in March; one is a cheapie with hardly any extras, and the other is a loaded Platinum Series edition. The bad news is that the Platinum Series edition is 40 bucks. That's ridiculous! I hate it when companies mark up the prices of horror movies simply to take advantage of the loyal fans who will buy it no matter what. That goes with releasing a movie with no extras on the disc and then releasing again a few months later in a "director's cut." Screw that. I thought sci-fi geeks were the ones who got reamed in the marketing, not us.

same thing happened with BLACK HAWK DOWN. i had to rebuy it months later for like thirty some dollars for the documentaries and extras.

I hate to say this but the only way to stop from getting screwed is to not buy the damn thing, no money comes in they stop doing this shit.

At least they told us about the Platinum edition. Yeah, I'm still pissed at the price, but I won't waste money on the little one first. If I would have known about the Boomstick edition, I would not have so many damn copies of Army of Darkness.

all new movies cost at least 30 dollars here
at least
but like when Xmen 2 hit the shelves it costed 25 dollar
I bought the box of both the Xmen double dvd editions for 30 dollars
you just gotta wait a bit

I'd like to add the alien quedrilogy box
most stores sell it for 90 dollar here, but 1 store sells it for 70 dollar, it's worth the difference

guy guys, I have the best fix for this problem: steal it. The marketing assholes and fat cats think they are clever, well instead of just boycotting it just steal it, that way they loose money and will really stop doing it, and you still get the DVD.

Oh, but it was. I wanted to give my eyes a good rinseing with peroxide after I watched it. Luckily I downloaded it. I'd probably have given my wrists a slashing if I'd payed $8 for it.

I can say it quite easily because it's a shitty movie. The acting, directing, the fact that it's a Michael Bay movie, the fact that, it being a remake aside, it's an unoriginal drek, all join forces to make this what I like to call the 'WORST REMAKE OF ANY MOVIE EVER'. This movie was so bad it gave me cancer.

I would never steal a movie that was from new line not even download it, they put out a lot of good horror movies and respect us fans.

Stealing a movie is easier said than done anyhow. Do you know how many of those security stickers on those things?

My sam's store is fuckin paranoid, they told me they would get at least 10 to 15 movies stollen a day, now their security is outrageous, it takes about 12 mins to get one movie:eek:

Well personally I dont steal but if I were going to...It would be from New Line. Just because they are owned by the Devil Worshipping conglomerate DISNEY. Fuck right sons Freddy VS Jason was made by disney. and btw the FvJ dvd is running for like 19.99 everywhere down here in sunny FL. shop around folks.

For those of you who took me serious, I was joking. I don't steal. If I was gonna steal something it would be something like a car. But I wouldn't :D. A good way to get it for less is eBay. That's what im gonna do.
