Looking for some info on a few movies.

[The Flayed One]

Some movies I've been reading about that sound interesting, but I've never seen. Hoping for a few opinions before I try to blind buy them:

- Belphegor - Le Fantôme du Louvre (2001)

- Bai fa mo nu zhuan (The Bride With White Hair) (1993)

- Maniacts (2001)

- Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare (1968)

Any info on any of them is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well, I've seen "Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare" and it is pretty cool. Marvelous glimpse at Japanese mythology in cinematic form, served up with good-size dollops of both humor and horror. Charmingly xenophobic flavor as the local monsters fight to protect their "haunting ground" turf from the evil foreign monster from overseas who wants to set up shop in their backyard.

I have seen the other Yokai Monsters films and they were certainly interesting, but this is the one that stood out. It's busier and more entertaining than the others. Nice widescreen look too.
