View Full Version : Question Concerning Your DVD Collection

I noticed in some of your signatures you have a link to your DVD collection. I was wondering where you buy your DVD's at. I noticed you have hundreds and that has got to cost a fortune. Is there a site you are signed up for that gives you discounts or do you simply buy them straight from the store like Best Buy?

Not if you live outside of the USA:rolleyes:
I get most of mine at normal retail stores...Futureshop and Zellers, mostly.

Wow, Im searchin for movies on here and half the ones that I want are 6.95. I think Im going to really like it here. Thanks a ton man! One question though. For example High Tension is wow...only $9.28. I actually have more than 1 question.
1) Is there a catch?
2) Is it literally $9.28. Am I going to have to pay any more than that. For example shipping or handling? It says shipping is free but what about handling.
3) Am I going to get charges on my credit card from out of nowhere when I didnt even buy a certain thing from the site. I say that because it has happened to me before. Or anything of this sort.

Nope. I was reluctant, too, but I've been using them for about two years now, and they are starting to get some commercial recognition.
It'll tag another dollar or so for tax on each item, but shipping and handling is absolutely 100% free on every single item.
I've never had a single problem with them, and I usually only buy from them.
Enjoy!

Cool man. One last question, how long does it take to receive the DVD. I noticed they are in Illinois. I live in Michigan so they are only about 300 miles away from me so its not like they have to ship cross-country.

Well, it usually only takes about 3 days for me, but I live in Illinois. I would estimate about 5 or 6 days for you.

Everytime I start to list my dvds, I start leaving out the ones that I'm sort of ashamed to own. Then it's not really a complete personal dvd collection list because it's been censored by self-doubt. Ghost Ship anyone?

Probably a few things but most DVDs are cheaper on DDD (unless you're strictly talking new releases) especially when you take into consideration the free shipping for every order. DDD always has sales too, usually top notch ones.

Even for the few things you can get at cheaper at Amazon.com...DDD does pricematch. And free shipping.
In the US, nothing can beat DDD. It's not an opinion, it's fact.

i say amazon. has a far larger selection than deep discount, and you can find some super cheap used ones.

I personally prefer hunting in Walmart, Futureshop and Musicworld. They often have wild sales like 3/20$ (special edition films like Edward Scissor Hands, Remeo + Juliet, Donnie Darko, etc...)
