Some guy in here claims he has an evil dead prequel, I never knew of such a thing....was it oficially released on any format? whats it about?
and is it like another case between #0-#1 like it was between #1-#2?, by that I mean where for some reason that I still don't understand, in the 2nd film, the story played out as though the first film hadnt happened? (or, if anyone can explain it otherwise, I'd be glad to hear it...)

I don't know if I'd call it a prequel exactly. BC talks about it in his book. It's basically how they got a lot of their funding. They made that short and showed it to investors.

It's true. They made, I believe, 70+ short movies when they were in school and they then showed it somewhere in town to make money. And with that money they made their next movie. They showed 'Within the Woods' around to prove to the possible investors they would be able to make a good horror flick.

yeah I believe it was suppose to be.. but they didnt go through with it.. I am just going to wait until they get their shit together and release it on DVD by itself..
