Nothing will ever replace the vibe of the original Universal Monster movies.
I like quite a few new ones, but The Phantom of the Opera, Frankenstien, Dracula, the Mummy, the Wolf-Man, the Invisible Man and the Creature from the Black Lagoon are what made me a horror fan.
That and Famous Monster of Filmland Magazine - god bless you Forrey!

i voted on the classics......tho there was a lot of shit round then 2....some follow through now and i guess thats why they r classics but i love saw soooooo damn much....but im not that impressed with anything else of late....

Not to say that there isnt any good ones from the other categories, but oldies kick their collective asses.

i dont really understand old horror. surely the point of horror is to scare you. i guess their fear threshold was pretty low in those days. its the dark psychological ones that get me....
