Ugh. Another remake. This time they're remaking the South Korean "Host" before it's even been released in the US. Just signed the deal last week, according to Variety.
Yay! Another glossed-over trite hollywood money-maker instead of an original horror film! Hooray!

(BTW, I don't think this is mis-categorized, as this is in regard to it becoming an american film. IE: The Ring vs. Ringu)

I'm off to see the Korean release later today, hoping the place will be empty so I get some peace through the film, besides, subbed films aren't as popular :) It's good to hear the film is doing quite well in the theaters in the countries it's been released in so far.

Just got back from seeing the film, very enjoyable the sound was awesome especially the creature noises and the rumbling base when it walked. It progressed at a good pace and I was quite surprised to see the creature so soon in the film, instead of the usual half way through like other films of this type normally do.

I have this one on DVD (from a producer friend) and it's a good time, nothing special, but the middle act was too long by at least 20 minutes.
I don't know how much more "American" it can get...it has that AMBLIN vibe to it, which always plays better in a foriegn language. The US version will certainly seem even more like a Spielberg rip-off... or worse, a SciFi Channel movie!
