Some people seem to be confused about this...So, I will try to clarify it...

1) PMs - A PM is a Private Message that is sent to a forum member from another forum member...They are PRIVATE...A moderator can NOT read anyone else's private messages...An administrator CAN view people's private messages, but the only administrator we have here is Horror, and he won't even read the private messages that we send to HIM, so I seriously doubt that he would have any interest in reading the private messages of others...Only TWO people can read a private message, the person who sent it, and the person they sent it to.

2) IMs - An IM is an Instant Message...Some sites have instant messaging capabilities (such as MySpace)...OUR site does NOT have instant messaging capabilities...The most popular instant messengers are AIM (AOL's Instant Messenger), MSN Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger...Instant messages are PRIVATE between 2 people, with the capability to add other people of your choice to your PRIVATE conversation...No one can enter your private conversation on an instant messenger unless you or the person you are talking to chooses to add them to the conversation.

3) Chatrooms - Chatrooms are PUBLIC places...Where anyone can sign in at any time...No matter how many people are already in there having a conversation...You don't even have to be a member of this forum or ANY forum to do so...They can be viewed by ANYONE, on ANY computer, from anywhere in the world...There is NO privacy in a chatroom.

The chatroom that is available HERE, was made available by one of our members (Shanks)...It is completely external to our site...and it is FAR from private...See for yourself:

http://feed.gabbly.com/http://www.horror.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=2

We have NO control over Gabbly.Com's website and we are not affiliated with it in any way...It is completely unmoderated...Which is why we have warned people to use it at their own risk and discretion...

Please be aware that ANY time that you choose to use the chatroom...or ANY chatroom on the internet...The entire world is watching.

That's why i don't use chatrooms, hate those places, there's always some asshole who'll come along a spoil a good conversation, if i'm gonna chat with someone in public i'll use the forum, if not i use PM's or IM's, that's what they're there for

It's a secret. You have to have at least 2000 posts to see it.
