Anyone ever say you're "weird" for liking horror?

I know that very well, cause some of my Friends can´t understand why I totally love Horror Movies and that I´m such a big Fan of Jason, Michael and Freddy.

They most like Comedy and Stuff like that.

i don't think its cuz i like horror movies i think its cuz of my interests. i like reading about the paranormal and ufos and such and i would also would do my own research on jack the ripper and lizzie borden so iguess that they thought i was psycho or something not cuz of waht i watch but waht i read. but for the record i am not a psycho chick

People do wonder why i like horror films so much, but when i explain that i'm a film buff in general, and that horror just happens to be my favorite genre of movies, they usually understand and become more interested. Most of my friends already think i'm a PSYCHO so it's no big deal.

Also my screenwriting professor (she's awesome! and well she's much older..but still kind of hot!) think's it's kick ass that i love horror films..actually she said my horror film that i started writing for that class give her the creeps! and apparently i know more about horror than she does and she worked on the 'Blair Witch Project' .....(not trying to brag there or anything).....

i know waht u mean allmykids. i find things like jack the ripper and vlad dracula interesting to. i think i scare my friends sometimes when i go in to my beliefs on the loch ness monster and how that its interesting they don't know who jack the ripper was and there like ok your wierd. i never get cuz of likeing horror movies i get it for just plain old being so called weird i'm just suprised they have started calling me the female version of Mulder yet:D

I get called weird all the time for my love of the macbre. But to be honest if you truly love it then you accept it. I work at a video store and nothing makes me happier than to talk horror with a strait up horror fan be it some 13 yr old kid or some 85 yr old lady and believe me I have talked to every range of em.

People meet me and automatically assume that I am insane, dont know why maybe its the socks that I wear. Some have said that the stuff that I am into is just way 2 gross 2 outrageous for them. They also think its strange the music I like, which is all from metal to classical. Some are scared because of their ignorance of the religion I practice. I dont turn people into frogs, or sacrifice small children, and I dont drink blood. Blood and gore dont bother me, have seen it all just have that thing in my head like a machine that I can just turn off in a time of crisis or other situations. I wrote a short story for an literature class that gave my professor nitemares for years to come, so she told me. Anyways those that know me know how I really am, although I wouldnt want anyone to get in my head there are some really scary things going on in there. I agree with Myers Fuck em if they dont like it, are you going to take some shit, Hell yes I did, but I got bigger,LOL. You just have to make people think that you are willing to go farther than anyone else, makes people afraid to mess with you, and if they make the mistake of doing it anyway, take it farther than anyone else. They wont mess with you after that.

When I was kid I used to get picked on all of the time because while my fellow students were checking out Sweet Vally High (girls, you know what I mean), I was checking out shit on ghosts, witches, the Devil, demons, etc. Oh goddess, everyone thought I was a totaly Satanist. I didn't help by telling them that I had ESP. :D

My dad is still freaked out about the fact that I love to watch horror films. It's such a rush for me...a good healthy high, if you will. My friends usually empathize with my dad, though. For instance, I gave my best friend nightmares just by talking about Silent Hill (little demon kids rule!)

Not "weird"...I usually get Evil, Wicked, Sick, Twisted, Demented, or Psychotic...I have to remind them that flattery isn't going to get them anywhere with me...But, I am sure to thank them for their compliments anyway:D

i know in 6th grade i was prob peceieveed as weird cuz the 2nd day of school i was put in to anew home room and not many people liked me so as an escape i woould read about ghosts, witchs, vampires, ufos,esp and anything just to have something to do cuz i hardly had any friends they were all in other homerooms. so i know i was called a freak and waht not for waht i read behind my back by my classmates that was around the time when i really got in to watching horror. i was the only kid at recess talking to my friends about waht i read and saw on tv that had to do w/ ghosts
