This has probably been posted a few times, but I feel that I need some individual help in my particular case.
I've been watching horror movies since I was probably 8 or so, but these days I can hardly find anything that scares me at all. I need help, I need to be frightened again!
Here's some pointers;
- 2 first movies I can remember that scared the shit out of me was Aliens and The Shining.
- Last time I was really frightened (movie) was by the basement scene in House on Haunted hill (the remake), with the doctors and all that stuff. It's maybe been 6 years...
- I like movies like The Brood, The Thing, Exorcist. But they did not scare me enough.
- I did not find The Ring scary...
So please, give me your worst! Blood, gore, any freaky stuff. I want nightmares! :D

Uzumaki, phantoms, Alien, Saw...those are kind of "erg".
If it's real scares you want...play videogames instead.
Nowadays, I find they're much more unsettling. Just IMO.
Check out "hellgate:London", looks pretty good 'n scary.

Yes, I used to play Clive Barker's Undying. That was terrifying! I'll certainly check out this Hellgate game, and the movies you mentioned :)

Personally I thought the basement in House on Haunted Hill was fascinating, although I wouldn't go down there alone!
If you are scared of spiders, I recommend the old 1955 movie Tarantula. The star Tarantula was huge and they showed close-ups of his face and fangs and killing people. That is the only movie that ever gave me nightmares.

Yeah, undying was great...but nowadays, the amount of games out there being desinged specifically to headfuck and scare you...you'll be bound to find something worth looking for.
and...Cube, maybe?
Not like terrifying, but definately has an "euurgh" atmosphere.
Event Horizon? Some people hate it, some love it, but it's worth a few jumps.
If it's gore youre after, maybe have a look at wrong turn?
28DL was also I thought, quite scary.
...that's all that really comes to mind.

I am extremely arachnophobic, so yes that would scare me bad! But not in that "good way". I see enough spiders as it is in my basement appartment :D

The Descent is also good for a few 'jumpy' moments
