This is one of my all time favorite movies. I sstart to think about it everytime i see the snow falling. Im most intrigued by what type of forms the thing could take. I wish that Carpenter would make a sequel to it. A movie i almost consider a sequel is Leviathan. Both movies have almost the same basis.

Great movie, one I never grow tired of watching. I plan on picking it up next time I'm at Best Buy.

DVD is mucho cool. Great commentary by Russell and Carpenter. Anyone play the video game? I only have a Gamecube, and it wasn't released for that platform.

Love it. If I had to pick just *one* favorite horror film of all time, John Carpenter's THE THING would be that film . . . .

As for the game, I haven't played it yet, but I plan on it in about 8 hours. Just so happens I'm getting a Playstation 2 for Christmas, and I have THE THING waiting to pop in the second I have the system. :)

Can't wait!

The problem with having a The Thing 2 is that you may not know, but the original was a flop at the theaters.

I read the biography of John Carpenter, called The Prince of Darkness, and I don't think he would do it.

Now the movie has a following, but I don't know if a company would put up money for it.

The Thing is a damn brilliant piece of horror. Can't say the same for Leviathan. I like Peter Weller, but he ain't no Kurt Russell.

The Sci-fi channel is reportedly remaking The Thing as a 6 hour mini. Food for thought.

I just got The Thing DVD for Christmas...can't wait to watch it. I had a choice of either Rear Window or The Thing and I picked the latter, I hope its worth it.
