So I finally rented this dog. With the exception of its clever title and the concept of linking the werewolf transformation with the hormonal overload of adolescence -- this movie sucked.

Bad acting. Logic holes wide enough to land a space shuttle. The characters simply react in ways that are inconsistent with, well, reality. I had high hopes for this one -- but became bored and impatient with it at the midway point.

Why can't someone make a halfway descent werewolf movie? (Dog Soldiers being a notable exception).

Booo-urns! I love the Ginger Snaps trilogy, and the original is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It's also ranked pretty high on the HDC Top 100 list.

Did you even watch it? I highly doubt you did.

Because if you did, you wouldnt be saying bullshit. That movie franchise has been one of the sweetest in recent times.

My suggestion :- If you have really seen it once, put it back in again, sit back alone and enjoy it. I m sure you ll come running back here with a completely different opinion next time I see you in HDC.

My suggestion : Move this to the correct thread, you rookie :D. I'm just playing I Always post in the wrong section so I guess I will let it slide for this one time. Never seen the movie so I can't put any input in sorry !

Haven't seen it, so I am unable to say anything about it one way or the other.

is this your idea of "literate blather"??

I really want to see it. My biggest problem is that at my local blockbuster, it's always checked out. I also can't seem to find it at any stores, and if I did, I'm broke anyway. I'm screwed. :(

Haha, I think my mom thinks it's a porn film. Everytime it comes on TV and I go to watch it, she says "We aren't watching that mess." And thus it becomes a pain in the ass.

Touche.

Sorry, I can't figure out the popularity of this one. The werewolves look like wet, plastic gargoyles and the character of Sam is so awkwardly acted that its an embarrassment.

What's the character's point? There's no logical reason for him to be in the movie -- other than to be torn to shreds by Ginger at the end. He offers nothing. Nothing.

The scene were Ginger is attacked by the original werewolf doesn't make logical sense in time or space. She's tackled by the werewolf and suddenly she's 100 yards in the woods. Then she's being mauled and eaten and suddenly she's escaped and is 100 yards away. Was the Starship Enterprise beaming her place to place?

There's so much stupid sh*t going on:

- Does no else in the movie notice that Ginger and her "boyfriend" are growing fangs?
- Why does the mother start digging for bodies in the toy house outside?
- How does Sam figure out the formula? (apparently he just thinks of it)
- Why did the original werewolf only kill dogs?

Ginger Snap was god awful.

I loved it, but I know a lot of people who hated it, so you're not alone. :)

The second was also good, but if you didn't like the first... I wasn't too fussed with the third one.

The first one was great! I thought Unleashed was ok and the prequel was a bit slow moving for my taste, but it's definitely one of my favs.

Its a good flick but your right about the whole sequence where Ginger is being attacked being poorly choreographed. It didnt really work so well.

If you take an immediate dislike for a film its easy to be hyper critical of all its tiny flaws, if you can take another look at it with an open mind you may change your mind (or you may not, either way the world will keep turning).
