I recently had a media class at school and it opened me up to early radio shows, I purchased a few of Orson Welles on iTunes. I was wondering if anyone had the same interests as I do and if you know any good halloween internet radio stations ? I clicked the banner that sometimes comes up on here but I really didn't like it that much, any help would be much appreciated thank you !

This is more what i'm interested in, but I will have to check out the Rue Morgue, station. Also does anyone have sirius radio ? I wanted to hear your opinions on the Fangoria Station, I have been thinking about getting it since I seen it was launched.

re the radio shows .. they arent easy to find but if you have access to usenet (the newsgroups) check out the alt.binaries.sounds area ..
i'm sure one of the groups has old radio shows - and this time of the year halloween themed ones are sure to be posted.

i love the old radio mysteries. . . my local NPR station plays those late at night and i often sit up into the wee hour listening to old spooky shows. most are really corny, but some were quite inspired

Have you ever listened to Art Bell ? Hes on NPR (I think) Like 11pm - 5 am. If not I would check him out, they talk about ghost, aliens all that weird stuff people call in and talk about being "Abducted" or having "Powers" He once talked about a Big Hole in NC I think it was, they don't know how deep it goes but they lowered a microphone in and they said they could actually hear screams of people.

Even though you didn't like my station, I DO play the Old Time Radio shows you say you're interested in. Three times a day: Midnight, 6 AM & 6 PM Pacific time.

Thanks for checking out the station, though!

For anyone else that might be interested, I've been broadcasting Halloween music in October for 6 years. I don't make any money from it, I don't run any advertising, you don't have to join anything or log in to listen. I just do it because I love Halloween and horror, like you folks do. It's my way of carrying the torch.

Give the station a try sometime- maybe you'll be surprized.

Awesome I will have to listen to them, thank you ! I checked out your station forawhile yesterday, you have 3 of them ? Or was I on a completly differnt site lol. The first one I opened up I enjoyed, but the other two wasn't for me.

Edit : I take back me not saying I didn't like your station, I clicked on the wrong one. I listened to this one for about 2 hours yesterday. That's really cool that you do that every halloween. Keep it up !

Yep- that's me. I run three stations so people can hear whatever kind Halloween entertainment they're looking for. The main station plays a freeform selection of Halloween & horror themed music as well as horror & sci fi film soundtracks, and the Old Time Radio shows.

One station plays all the comedy & novelty stuff like Monster Mash, Purple People Eater, Weird Al, Spike Jones etc. The third station plays musical theatre stuff- Phantom of the Opera, Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky Horror, Sweeney Todd, etc.

Something for everyone! At least that's the theory.

The comedy & show tunes stations you do have to register at live365.com to listen to, but NeverEndingWonder Radio is completely independent and commercial free. My goal is to have all three stations independent by next year.

cool neverending - i'll check those out.

i like the art bell show. i used to have a job where i started work at 1am and worked until about 9. the art bell show airs here from 1 til 5am and i'd have that playing while i worked (alone) in the baker. . . and i'll admit sometimes i'd get a little creeped out being all by myself listening to people talk about alien abductions and possession all night

Excellent taste, my friend. I love those shows, and "The Thing on the Forbal Board" is terrifying.

CHeck out the program entitled Suspense. They had fantastic horror and supense broadcasts. A good one is entitled "Zero Hour".

I want to thank everyone from horror.com who took the time to check out The NeverEndingWonder Halloween Radio Empire this year. It was our most successful Halloween season ever. Hope to see you all back again next year.
