I'm currently working on a second draft of a Scottish supernatural thriller. Contracts signed, director and producer both attached, (both with good previous credits), and the quest for funding just started.

I've also got three shorts and a feature in various stages of production with indie and student film-makers.

SCRIPTS AVAILABLE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've got several scripts, both feature and short, available ( the shorts are free to the right person). If anybody wants to see some scripts, just drop me a line.

Here's some examples of what I have available:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An isolated island is no place to be alone when mutant beasts roam in the fog.

Island Life, 90 pages, is a Scottish monster movie in the vein of “Dog Soldiers” and "Descent". The script is based on my novel, Island Life, published in the USA in 2001 by Barclay Books.

A scientist and two lighthouse keepers do battle against a tribe of mutated creatures on their isolated island. But everyone else they know is either dead or missing, and when night comes, and the fog rolls in, the fun begins in earnest.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Booze, Broads and tentacles in the city.

The Amulet is 105 page B-movie noir-meets-monster tale revolving around a Bogart buff and the MacGuffin of an ancient amulet of power that has gang-lords in a frenzy trying to locate it. The monster barely appears and needs little FX, if any… Based on my novel The Midnight Eye Files: The Amulet, published by Black Death Books in 2005.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At first it's a simple lost son case, but soon PI Derek Adams is up to his hips in mer-women, shape changers and ancient fisher cults. An ancient god is waking up, and only blood will stop him.

Sirens 97 pages is a B-movie monster tale set in a city and a remote fishing community revolving around a Bogart buff and the MacGuffin of the curse of a race of mer-women. Based on my novel "The Midnight Eye Files: Sirens", which will be published later in 2006 by Black Death Books in the USA.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And the following shorts, all around the 8-10 page mark:
The Wrong Room Brian Kelly is a businessman on the skids. He needs control.... and a visit to a sex shop seems to provide just what he's looking for.

Can You Hear Them? A man left alone on a remote lighthouse begins to hear noises from his past... and soon wet footsteps are heard slapping on the rocks outside.

At the Beach A ghostly encounter on a beach as an old man ruminates on the nature of love and loss to a youth who is only looking for some peace and quiet

Animal Vegetable Mineral 4 boys, an experiment in calling up the “other side” and a deserted house. What could go wrong?

The Last Day of Summer Children should be careful what they wish for… they might get it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All scripts are complete and available in Final Draft, pdf, Word or txt formats

Drop me a line if you're interested in any of them.

the Wrong Room has gone... a filmmaker in new York has taken it up.

But that's spurred me on to add some more to the "available" list for anybody that's interested

The Blue Hag (25 pp) A new abattoir is going up at a deer farm. But there's something ancient and evil that protects its own, and soon its not just the deer that are getting butchered.

The World of Illusion (6 pp) A levitation trick proves all too real for a trainee magician on a school break.

Tannis (15 pp, animation) Tom doesn't really believe his Granddad's elixir will work. But an accidental spillage creates a destructive giant dragon. Soon Tom, alongside his Grandad, must battle for their lives before their creation destroys the whole town.

Hot Line (7 pp) Adultery and telephones don’t mix. Sometimes, the phone seems to have a mind of its own.

The Worst Sound (2pp) What’s the worst sound –you’ve- ever heard?

News just in... My script "Tannis" has been taken up by a South African producer, and has a director attached, with a view to producing an animated version of the story... Ever wanted to know how to manufacture a dragon? Well watch out for this one. More news will appear on MySpace as I get it. http://www.myspace.com/williemeikle

I've also had enquires about "The World of Illusion" and "At the Beach". What with that, and the sale of my scripts "Crossroads" and "The Wrong Room", it's turned into quite a month for my short scripts. It feels like Christmas has come early.... :)
