Did anyone like this movie? The majority of the people I yalked to in person said they don't like it, but I don't really think it's all that bad. There are a few parts that are cheesy "I'm so sorry (while snotting out the camera)" but other that than I thought it was decent. (I just watched it again)

Loved it. They "borrowed" a brilliant concept and took it to the masses. Alot of people hated it only after they found out if wasn't real. It seems people have a problem with being tricked.

haha, yea that's true. I remember talking to my grandmother and she was totally convinced it was real "but they found the actual film reels"

Haha, I know plenty of people who are still convinced.

I liked it
actually, they got a rough draft of the script with them (the 3 people in the woods), but as they went on the crew came up with new ideas to get a good scare effect

Great film. I know a lot of people hated it and, it is true, the bickering is a little irritating... but it gets replaced with dread as the film goes on. You can see the actors just feeling more and more hopeless each time the sun goes down.
The ending is one of the best endings in any film ever. I was walking out of the theater and heard someone say "Was he taking a leak in the corner or what?" I had to restrain myself from blinding him with a fork.

Haha. You should have blinded him. Anyway, I agree, very disquieting ending.

The first one was...okay. The second was...pretty darn good. Neither of them were "The Best Horror Flick of All Time" or anything like that, but both were decent movies.
I really liked the song that Blair Witch 2 opens with. Whoever can name the song and artist gets a cookie. ;)

Um...unless you saw The Last Broadcast. That's what I meant about the "borrowed" concept.

It did totally rip-off Last Broadcast, and they admitted cribbing the real footage concept from Cannibal Holocaust.

ah, i remember hearing a bit about this... i hate hoby satanists, they have completley ruined the reputation of true satanits.
Sam The Egg
12-29-2003, 11:50 AM
yes, blame the kids in JAIL and the one on DEATH FUCKING ROW for the idiot redneck witch-hunters, it's all those 'hobby statanists' fault that they got convicted of murder with no evidence, solid alibies and an even more suspicious suspect RIGHT THERE! You're right, Moony, those 3 went and ruined it for all the satanists of the world
moonsorrow
12-29-2003, 11:55 AM
we have our fare share of them, im pretty sure you all know who "greven" is, transilated to "the barron" or count....not realy sure, and recentley had a few hobby satanists plounder a few graves, i know the fellaws... they just wanted a cupple of skulls what the fuck is wrong with em? buy a fake one at pentagon or something... when they got arested they were screaming to the camras that they were satanists and they did it for the "svart metal" comunity... its people like them that fuck up theyr rep.
Sam The Egg
12-29-2003, 12:10 PM
yes, but your complaints about them 'ruining their rep' in association with this movie is horrible. Jesus, man, one of them is on death row for killing a kid, which he didn't do

Yes, lets all just complain about movies that not only have we not seen, but don't even know WHAT MOVIE IT IS. That sounds like fun, I'll just join in.
Man, Blair Witch Project was dumb. I mean, they turned kids into mice. It gives those real witches a bad rep, I tell ya what...

fuck off you little midget, i mixed up a cuple movies in my head allright? dont bite my fucking head of for a tiny thing like that.
Sam The Egg
12-29-2003, 12:26 PM
you're right. You just complained about someone getting convicted and being given the death penalty for nothing because it 'ruins the rep of satanists'. No big thing there.
Also, insutling people over the internet based on things you wouldn't know. I'd be hurt if it weren't petty and immature.

oh, backpeddling, now, are we? Well, if the posts were about hobby satanists in general, then isn't that off topic? In fact, that's 2 posts that would be off topic at least. I'm sure there's some rule against posting off topic at all, let alone multiple times. Time to backpeddle some more. Or is this the part where you "aren't going to bother" or "won't waste your time" and get all huffy and leave? People in this board have a tendancy to do that. I don't mind though. You shouldn't waste your time with a 'fucking little midget'. There are much better ways you could be spending your time. Hey, doesn't Hot Topic have a sale on those big black pants?

it came to mind, im pretty sure i wont get sued for saying something off topic, pretty much happens in every post here if you would take the time to read them.
now when i said hush i ment for you to keep quiet, i saw myself as done with this disgussion and you just keep pulling it up dont you? and yeah i have better things to do then waste my time with tiny fucking motards like you, i make one little slipup and mix a cuple movies together and talk a little off topic and you go bzerk. just ease off, stay out of my face and we two will get along just fine, you got anything to say to me pm me.

again with the petty insults, it's like I took a wrong turn and ended up in an AOL chatroom. Gonna call me a faggot next? Oh, my, you told me to stop talking, I guess I'd better do what you say. If I wanted to get really technical I'd bring up the fact that I don't talk when I type, and I do want to get really technical so...by the way, I'm typing. I haven't been talking at all, so your little attempt to be all cool and tell people to hush is moot. And yes, you of the not knowing the plot of a movie when it's been linked to pretty much right above you are one to talk about not reading things. If you're done with the discussion, then why are YOU getting back into it? I, having never said I was done with it, can participate. You on the other hand, did exactly what everybody here always seems to do. "Ya know what? I'm done with all this." Why don't we just get some cardboard cutouts of all you guys with recordings of you saying "I'm done with this conversation" and you guys can finally get to those more important things you never get to do.
By the way, making words up can be fun, but most of the time it makes you look like an idiot.

Moonsorrow and Sam The Egg- I want you 2 to go 2 the principles office, and after school you can meet by the swingset and settle your differences, Sam he just mixed up a couple of films give the guy a break huh.
back to subject, Blair Witch Project I hated watching until the very end where the first time in a long time a film actually put fear into me. I coldnt sleep the night after watching that. The ending was just way 2 scary. Hearing that girl screaming and that guy standing in the corner I kept waiting for him to turn around with some ghoulish face and it didnt happen which I never would have expected which made it all the more scarier.

The people who didn't like it either don't have an imagination or are the type who love to follow everyone else's opinions without having their own.
Truth is if you watched it alone, in a dark room at night and have a decent imagination you would have to admit it's kinda spooky at some points. Just being one of the characters and tell me you wouldnt be scared.
Brilliant concept taken to film. Which was also not sold out by a large budget and over-acting actors (like Blair Witch 2 was for example). The movie did the job it came to do and did a decent job of it.

I thought it was a pretty good movie, i love the scene when there at camp and the tent starts to get pushed in and you hear what i think is a baby crying. the secret to injoying the movie is to imangine you there in the woods and lost and then you may injoy it

i liked it, the backstory created thru the interviews was suspenseful, scenes at night when the witch was cackling, moving the tent was great, and that little girls scream. without actually seeing the witch, we felt fear like when there was than leaf figure of a hanging person in the tree...the kidnapping of one of the kids was scary, and the discovery of his fingers (was it his fingers) in some cloth......the ending was cool aswell......
although the snot in the camera was just gross....i mean, cmon!!
go to the blair witch official site if u havent already, there are some fictional journal entries there......
I hated it because it bored the hell out of me. I prefered the Bogus Witch Project over it.
However, The Discovery Channel or TLC or one of those fact based television stations had a thing on about the Blair Witch and said that it was all real and it turned out it wasn't. Of course, they also had a thing about how all of the people in "The Perferct Storm" survived and they all died. What kind of shit is that?!
