halloween has provided some good scares for me. in prt 1 where michael is chasing after laurie, the closet scene, and right before he gets shot off the balcony. Always when he gets brought out of the shadows. in prt 2 when he's slowly coming toward laurie right before she gets on the elevator, in the parking lot of the hospital, when he walks through the glass doors and slits that cops throat. in 4 when loomis sees him in the filling station and when they get trapped in the house and in 5 when the little girl's in the laundry chute.
hellraiser 3 was scary when terry farrell was running down the street and stuff's blowing up around her and the monsters are after her. it's like hell on earth! (wasn't that the name of it?) SCARY!
children of the corn scared the crap out of me when i was younger! that cafe scene killed me and the boy that got run over. EEK!
in ANOES when nancy was running up the marshmallow stairs!

The Darkenss
I just couldn't stand those awful schreeching noises throuout the whole movie. And the final part, when the bad guys are already released and the girl is talking to her mother, who you just KNOW is one of the monsters, was just too much for me. I don't know how i managed to sit throu it all without walking out of the room (i saw it in a cinema)
Even Horizon
The eyeless guys part. The scene when Wier's wife appears while he is putting the power back on in the power conduit shafts and when Wier himself grabs the guy who just turned around in the ambulance room with a big knife in his hand. Of course, you get a big BABOOOM noise and you see a real close up of Wier's eyeless eyesockets, all in less then 2 seconds.
Damn, i'm getting too old for this shit!

The beginning of both When a Stranger Calls and When a Stranger Calls Back. I wish the rest of the two films could have matched up the opening for intensity and creepiness.

I know this is weird, but the beginning scene of Scream when he is saying how he can see her, then when the doorbell rings, and when she sees him walking through the house...and a couple other stalk/chase scenes in Scream...I love Scream
Rosemarys Baby- The Devil Rape scene scared the hell out of me...still does.
The Shining- Any Scene with the Twins, and when Jack finds the lady in the tub *shudder*
Friday the 13th- When the girl is in Jasons room that has the Shrine to Mrs. Voorhees, I dont know why exactly, but it scares me everytime!

I definitely agree with Avenger about the beginnings of the When a Stranger Calls movies. They went downhill from there, but those opening scenes are keepers!!!!

YES indeed, that was so so freaky
and the chick in the cellar in part 1 was freaky to, just looking to ash and his friends, then making allot of noize, was cool
but the thing that made me jump was (it's not scary though)
in the exorcist directors cut, I was in the movie theatre,n so the sound is on real loud, and at one point, the sound was a bit silent, no music, no loud noizes, but then all of a sudden the phone rings with this loud sound, made me jump up, like most of the people there
