I just bought and read "Twilight" and "New Hope" by Stephanie Meyer. Vampire lite for the young adult set, but I have a daughter who wanted to read them and so I checked them out first. More romance than horror but well written for that age group. Vamp books of all kinds are my favorite, Anne Rice of course and general Vampire romance...

Vampire lite for the young adult set.

Noit famillar with those titles myself, but that description means I have to break out a trusty dusty recomendation:

The Saga of Darren Shan. (Cirque du Freak / Vampire's Assistant / Tunnels of Blood / Vampire Mountain / Trials of Death / The Vampire Prince / ECT.)

When I was younger (as in, like 4-5 years ago), I was absolutely obsessed with these books. "Vampire lite for the young adult set" describes them just about perfectly, loved them when I was in the age bracket. HIGHLY recomended.

"From a Buick 8" by Stephen King (paperback)

"Relic" by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child (paperback)

"The Inhuman Condition" by Clive Barker (paperback)

And a first edition hardcover of "Man-Eaters of Kumaon" by Jim Corbett
