I was watching Final Destination (I swear to God, Im addicted to it, I watch it 2-3 times a day) and I thought about something:
When I first saw it, it was the goriest movie I had ever seen and I had to turn away anytime anyone died. But now I cant seem to find movies gory enough to satisfy me!

I wont watch people being Skinned. That is just an instinctual thing that my stomach just hasnt been conditioned to handle yet.
I also dont particularly like dead, actually rotting, bodies. I can handle zombies and stuff, but not much.

But Anything else, I need really really really gory movies.
Gutting is a plus. I get giddy when I see it...does that make me a bad person? lol Also, psychological horrors are my favorite. But gore is more important.

Any Suggestions?

you want gore? go and rent 'Dead Alive' make sure it's the unrated version!! a lawnmower and a crowd of zombies, must I say more!! also if you can find it, try and rent, "Riki-Ho: The Story of Ricky"..it's pretty gorey as well...i've heard that "Ichi- The Killer" is pretty gorey...i haven't actually seen it though...but i'd recommend seeing the first two.:D

Dead Alive is very cool but it might break your rotting corpses rule. I am soooo glad I don't have a rotting corpses rule.

see "Dean Koontz's : phantoms"....youd probably like it...that, and "event horizon" which is a pretty damn good sci-fi/horror movie...
You're pretty funny though, you know that? The majority of the things you say you don't like witnessing ARE, in fact gore, the thing you claim to wanna see....My suggestion, go get some really filthy, disgusting rotting corpse-being skinned kinda films, and desensitise yourself....there's a lot of horror out there you're probably missing, sooo, grab yourself a bucket, and get watching!

I know, Im just an oxymoron wrapped in a paradox.

I have been telling myself for weeks to just go rent the whole Hellraiser and Night of the Living Dead serieses (serieses? you know, the plural for series) but I just cant make myself do it.

Moving on, Skinning and Rotting Corpses's (Corpses's? Corpsi? I need help) Thats all I cant handle. Did you really mean that thats all gore is?

Candyman is as close to what Im looking for as I have ever seen. Its like I need Candyman on steroids. I need blood, not decay.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, Ive looked them up on IMDB and they sound pretty cool.

Well "the story of Riki-Ho" definitely will supply your need for blood as well as gore. if you ever watched the Daily Show, back when Craig Killborne was the host, the clip with the asian guy bashing in another guy's head in, with his hands, this is the movie that clip came from. There's a really cool seen, involving a mutated human and a industrial size like blender!

i know that Dead Alive breaks the zombie rule, but rent it!! it even says on the box, 'praised as the goriest fright film of all time'..which some may not agree with...but it definitely supplies the blood...with laughs a plenty as well...

If it's blood you want, just wait until Kill Bill hits home video. Otherwise, check out Leatherface: TCM III (don't worry if you haven't seen the first two, it doesn't matter), From Dusk Till Dawn, John Carpenter's Vampires. Those seem to be the speed you are looking for.

Try "Kill Bill." That thing has enough blood and guts to fill an entire morgue.

It's Riki-Oh, not Riki-Ho. And if you can find it, Suicide Circle is really gorey, as is the last 30 minutes or so of Audition

what if Riki-Oh? My interest has been piqued as it's almost, but not quite, my name.

Riki-Oh is about Ricky, a very muscular young man, who is sent to the most secure and violent prison in Hong-Kong. The young man was sent there for taking revenge on the drug pushers who killed his girlfriend! Much blood, gore and death insues!!!

Highly recommend it!

You'll be convinced that "OH" will mean, "OH MY GOD! DID I JUST SEE THAT!!"

you forgot to mention one selling point for DEAD ALIVE (or for some mindless trivia, here where I live, in Australia, it is called "Brain-dead") , that point being, that it is a Peter Jackson film...

If you've ever watched the Daily Show with Craig Kilborn, during the 5 questions they'd show a head crushing scene from some Japanese movie. Ricki-Oh is that movie.

I never watched either, but I heard both were iffy for some. (Depends on your stomach.)
