This can be eventually moved to the TV section where about 2 people will ever see it afterwards ... but until then :
I have no idea what this program is or why people talk about it.
what is it about and why is it good ?
is it regular TV or HBO ?
I hate TV but I have a few HBO box sets i like (i.e. Dead like Me)
whats the deal with Lost ?

It's on ABC and it's about a plane that crashes on a deserted island and what happens to the survivors. I haven't watched it since the first season, mainly because I keep forgetting that it's on. I'm sure there are a few people here who can fill in the rest.

Lost is great urge. Season 3 just started last night.
It's an hour long every Wednesday on ABC. Basic synopsis goes like this... There's a plane crash. All the survivors end up on an island full of a LOT of secrets that unfold throughout the course of the show. There is something supernatural with the island that has not yet been specifically identified as well as another group of evil people (called The Others) that apparently have been marooned there for quite some time. We are just starting to learn more about them. Plenty of mystery, action, killing & suspense too.
That's all I can really say without spoiling things for anyone that hasn't watched it, but it's an excellent character, situation and secret driven drama. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I've watched the odd few, and they wern't bad, but as with most Tv series, I normally end up missing most of them due to work and being elsewhere.
One HBO series I did buy was 'Band of Brothers' which was superb.

I'm with bwind22 on this one, it's also highly addictive, if you're gonna watch it may i suggest getting hold of a complete season and just sitting down and watching it, that's how i do it with this series, there's nothing worse than having to wait a week for each installment

If you can't catch every episode it probably won't work for you. Rent the seasons instead. Great show.

Yes and no. I won't say more than that, don't want to ruin anything. It's a spectacular show, definately worth your time.
