My fav hardcore album is River Runs Red by Life of Agony and I think some of these songs should definately be in a movie.

I'd have to say my fav semi-hardcore song from a horror movie is Buck Cherry Everything from Nightmare on Elm St. Part 4.

Shadows Fall - The War Within

...But until I find some more decent hardcore bands, that I like, this one will do.

too many tuff guys ruined this genre. Which is a shame.

Get a Vitamin X or DS-13 album and you're set tho..... totally killer.

I'm far too lazy to look for pictures of all these album covers, so text is all there is.

Neurosis - Pain of Mind(Yes, they were a hardcore band at one time, and a damn good one too.)
The Faith/ Void - Split LP
Rites of Spring - End on End
Minor Threat - er... just the entire discography
Bad Brains - Black Dots

And yes, tough guy/youthcrew ruined this genre. I blame fucking Earth Crisis.

If 7 seconds are considered hardcore then the genre got seriously perverted over the years. I love 7 seconds, but the only hardcore bands that I've listened to and don't hate are Terror and Agnostic Front.

I have to agree with the OP. River Runs Red by Life of Agony. Listening to the downward spiral of the "character" and then the suicide at the end. One of the most in your face and mind opening albums ever. The rest of LoA's stuff was horrible, but this album is probably one of the greatest hardcore albums

The DC scene was sooooooo strait edge and politically correct it kind of made me batshit, but the bands would literally stop playing and call poeple out of there was any kind of a fight.

Fugazi would even stop songs to control the pit. Very responsible. Not very fun. But every show was FREEEEEEEEEEEE!
