I have that box of 50 "Sci-Fi Classics" and there's enough good stuff in there that I've kept it. Mostly tiny little low-budget and no-budget films, and some of them are real gems.

Right this is what I thought. I just wanted to be a smart ass. I think they are definately worth it if you like the movies! But really even if it's cheesey horror it's still fun to have:)

If you can pick them up for $25-$30 they are a great deal. You only end up paying like .50 or .60 cents a movie. Can't beat that.

I have Horror Classics. I break it out when I'm in a black & white mood. There are a couple good ones in there. Definitely worth the price.

Come on Dave.
What about Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde?
Nosferatu?
Last Man on Earth?
Satanic Rites of Dracula?
I Bury the Living?
The House on Haunted Hill?
These are all classics and a welcome addition to any horror fan's library - yeah there are a few stinkers in the bunch, but 10 good films for 19.95 is a good deal anyway - throw in 40 others and it's a fantastic deal!

I even really enjoyed some of the more obscure ones...the Karloff Mr. Wong flicks are great fun...Indestructible Man was pretty cool...the Ritz Brithers flick (the title escapes me) was really fun...I enjoyed most of the movies in the Horror Classics set, to be honest.
I still havent seen alot in Chilling Classics, but Ive liked most of the ones Ive watched. House of the Dead (awful title), The Cold are both good times.

Metropolis is on there & that is probably the best silent film ever made. I also really liked the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I thought Lon Cheney's facial expressions were hilarious!
I started with the earliest ones and am slowly but surely working my way up to the more modern ones... I'm through the silent films now, but not by much.
