Here is the USA cover for the upcomgin Special Editon available in stores on December 5th. The Canadian cover will be different, but the content will be the same.

The disc has a new 25 min Documentary.
Olvia Hussey Interview
Art Hindle Interview
Margot Kidder Interview
2 Brand New Audio scenes
New HD transfer, very clean image. and 5.1 Digital Audio.

The DVD cover was designed to a brief from Critical Mass and Itsmebilly.com and we are Over the moon with it. Personally I think its the best cover yet.

I dont work for them no, Ilive in another country, but i did help put this DVD together.... Black Christmas has been a 25 year love affair for me, so i always get involved..

Its right to be cynical i guess..... and you'll either buy it or you wont..... regardless of my involvement its the best release of the movie yet....

Its not just Critical Mass who do it, all DVD companies get tthe most from their property.

Think Halloween...Anchor Bay have released that many times now...

Anyway the choice is there.... dont buy it if you dont to.

Q: Is this film as good as its belated reputation suggests?

Also, did you know it's being remade?

It sure is. I was lucky enough to buy it on VHS a couple months ago at Hollywood Video for $2! Score!!!

A lot of people look at Halloween as the definitive original slasher film, but this one was out a couple years before it and used a lot of the same techniques. I suggest checking it out. It's pretty cool.

This movie is definately in my top 5 horror movies of all-time. Wish I didn't buy the rather "barebones" DVD.

i've never seen a barebones one .. both copies i own have lots of extras ...

both of mine are from critical mass .. one is a special ed, another is a special anniversary ed.

i've nev er seen another critical mass release ... maybe they just have the rights to this one movie and keep repackaging it and releasing it every couple of years.

I have the anniversary edition and it didn't have any extras I wouldn't expect to be on the average DVD like cast bios and the original theatrical trailer etc.
