I'm a big H.P. Lovecraft fan and like occult things. Azathoth and 777 fit both of those things, so......

My first initial is B. My last name is Wind. I was 22 when I made the screen name. *Shrug*

The Flayed One
09-14-2006, 03:31 AM
I like skinned things.:p

I wanted Flayed and Eaten, but it was one letter too long. The Flayed One is my back up.

Flayed and Eaten is actually a website my friend and I have been working on for around three years. Hopefully one day we'll get it to go live.

Because I'm a fan of the Hammer Studios movies. Not original, but there you go.

My original screen name was taylorsmommy. My cat was named Taylor. He died last year and a few months after he died I decided I needed to change my screen name, plus I had his pic as my avatar. Figured it was time to move on.

Jacob Singer

Two reasons:

First, I realy like "Jacobs Ladder"

Second, it sounds cool ....this one is a stupid reason:rolleyes:

monalisa
09-14-2006, 08:06 AM
Monalisa was my teenage nickname. Back when I was about 13 my family and a few other families would go camping at this place in Wisconsin. The dad of one of the families thought I looked like Monalisa so everyone started calling me Monalisa or Mona and it became my nickname. We went there for years and some of the people that camped there thought my real name was Mona.

Haunted
09-14-2006, 08:15 AM
At that particular time in my life I considered myself to be "haunted" by the things in my past (I have since moved on: Bacti has shown me the way, and my atman has made me strong- That's a paraphrased line from a song by my bestest friend, The Amazin' Wes Brown). Also, I like things that are haunted, in reference to ghosts and such.

My other online name is starbuck_2, didn't really seem appropriate for a horror forum....however, the stygian witches, of which there are 3, are renowned for eating men for breakfast....much more approrpiate :D

Austin316=At the time I registered, I was a huge wrestling fan. Of course I'm much more of a football fan but I figured the one name should go before the blitz of numbers.

4=Brett Favre, favorite player of the Packers/favorite football player period.

26=Deuce McAllister, favorite Saints player.

80=I was actually trying to put 87 for Ed McCaffery who at the time was my favorite Broncos player. It work out ok because he retired that year and 80 is Rod Smith's number who became my favorite Bronco after Ed retired.

8=Matt Mauck, my favorite LSU player.

I should just dig up one of the ten thousand other threads Ive posted this on, but *shrug*. Nothing better to do.

My original screenname/ the name I use (almost) everywhere else: Vampenguin

I came up with this one probably 4 years ago, maybe 5. At the time I was 100% obsessed with a series of books called The Saga of Darren Shan...for anyone who doesnt know, they're vampire novels. On any other site that Id been on, I called myself things like MrPenguin or PenguinMan...I wanted something more mature when I signed up for the Drren Shan forums, and also wanted something related to the subject matter (Without abandoning my love of penguins)....and thus the Vampenguin was born.

Screenname #2: Dark_Hero

I only used this one for a short period of time, and only on this site. I came up with it after my first banning. Im a big superhero fan, and the darker ones are always the best. Hence, Dark_Hero. I actually quite like how that one sounds (as stupid as the backstory is)...too bad it was so short lived.

Screenname #3: The_Return

This one is pretty literal. After my second banning, this was my Return to the forum.

That's all for now...until next time Kpro goes on a drunken banning spree, that is:p

That's funny because there's a coffee/tea shop on the same street as Starbucks called La Dee Da's. (This is in Charlotte, NC, by the way).

Weird how that connected, huh?

Roderick Usher
09-14-2006, 06:36 PM
Roderick Usher (from Poe's Fall of the House of Usher) suffers from "an accuteness of the senses" which renders nearly every sensation disagreable.

Quite possibly the most gothic character from America's first great writer

seemed just a touch more cryptic than calling myself Edgar:)

Angra is the name of a Brazilian metal band that i once was a huge fan of. I loved the name so much that i started using it in all my videogames when it was possible, characters, teams etc. The name has stuck with me ever since.

General Information about Poland

The Republic of Poland (until December 1989 the Polish People's Republic) is situated in Eastern Europe, bounded to the north by the Baltic Sea and an enclave of Russia, to the north-east by Lithuania, to the east by Belarus, to the south-east by Ukraine, to the west by Germany and to the south by Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Poland is one of the larger countries in Europe (the land area 312, 638 sq. km making it the 9th largest country in Europe and the 66th in the world). The climate is temperate in the west but continental in the east. Poland has short summers and cold snowy winters. Most of the inhabitants profess Christianity: about 95% are adherents of the Roman Catholic Church. The official language is Polish, spoken by almost all of the population. The national flag has two equal horizontal stripes, of white and red. The capital is Warsaw. The former capital is Kraków. You are going to Kraków.

Currency

The Polish currency is zloty (zl, PLN) pronounced "zwoti". It divides into 100 groszy (pronounced "groshi"). Denominations in notes are 10 zl, 20 zl, 50 zl, 100 zl and 200 zl. Coin denominations are 1 gr., 2 gr., 5 gr., 10 gr., 20 gr., 50 gr., 1 zl, 2 zl and 5 zl.

Zloty is internally exchangeable at most important currencies like USD, DEM, GBP, etc. You can change money in places indicated Kantor and in banks. Kantors usually provide slightly better exchange rates. Changing money with people in the street is not advised. Please, note that only new zloty is in use now. As some people still give prices of goods in old zlotys, one should know that 10,000 old zlotys equals to 1 new zloty.

New Years, i got TRASHED, polishing off an entire bottle of Stoli (one of the big ones), So it seemed appropriate to change it to "Vlad O' Vodstok" as a tribute to my pending alchoholism.

I eventually began to think that the full name was retarded (which it was....) But really liked Vodstok, so it stuck. i have been using it for online games, forums, even a D&D character and a story character (keep you eyes peeled for this one. it's cool:))

I recently started using Spoon in online games because i love the character from Dog Soldiers, but for forums and my websites, Vodstok is here to stay.

...seemed like a good idea at the time.

Dude Guadalupe
09-17-2006, 01:44 AM
In one of my old bands (back when I was still playing drums) we had this big ass loud mouthed singer who couldn't remember my name. So instead of running through all the names that sound like Dustin (pretty much just Justin and Austin) he decided to call me Dude. One night after a party we played, he was wasted and was talking loudly as always and someone asked if my name was really Dude. He dicided that not only was it Dude but that my last name should be Guadalupe.

There you go, the birth of Dude Guadalupe

urgeok
09-17-2006, 04:35 AM
many years ago when the internet was in its infancy.. i signed up - and the person on the phone said 'chose a unique name for your email ID"

i guess he was thinking - my name with a 2 after it or something but i thought he meant something so weird no one would ever pick it.

at the time the place i was working demanded we change our email passwords every month so i was using band names.

urgeok = urge overkill - one of my favorite bands at the time.

so although it was just by chance - and pretty much random and meaningless - i just never bothered to change it in over 10 years - and 5 isp's later.

thats pretty much the way i am with everything
