There are a lot of rumors and speculations running around the internet but I'm afraid only one person really knows: Moustapha Akkad. I'd like to see a return of the Parts 4/5 era, but it probably won't happen.

I heard both those rumors. I hate the first one, but I'll entertain the second one. If he played Myers, technically, he would have played all of the big four at some point (along with Freddy, Leatherface, and Jason).
Don't believe me? Hodder played Jason in the last four Friday the 13th's. He did stunt work in Leatherface: TCM 3. He was the hand that played Freddy's glove in Jason Goes to Hell. So, technically, it could work.

Avenger,
"I'd like to see a return of the Parts 4/5 era, but it probably won't happen."
Please explain. They killed her off in 6 (worst Halloween movie other than 3, if that even counts).
Unless they plan to act like 6-8 never happened, I don't know how they'd recall those two movies. Perhaps I'm missing what you meant.
"He was the hand that played Freddy's glove in Jason Goes to Hell. So, technically, it could work."
I've heard of stretching things, but stating he played Freddy because he operated the glove in Jason Goes to Hell is beyond laughable. Going by that logic any stunt double in a Freddy movie that substituted for Robert would count as playing Freddy; come on, Avenger! :p
There has only been one person that ever played Freddy, and it isn't Kane.

Dude, chill out. The Kane starring as all the icons was just a little bit of trivia I thought was cool so I was sharing it. I know there's only one REAL Freddy.
And as for the return of the Halloween 4/5 era, I meant just that. Those movies had a continuing storyline that was just DROPPED. I hate that. Even if 6 wasn't that great, I'd like to see what they were planning on doing with the thorn shit. I didn't say anything about bringing back Jamie. I know she died, I watched the movie.
I think you are forgetting who you are talking to.:D LOL.

is anyone else as disturbed by this as i am?! first of all busta has no place being in a halloween film and i agree that it should've ended at 6. why not make quality sequels? why run it into the ground? 4,5, and 6 were all pretty good IMO. i love michael, i'd love to see more of him but not this way. it's better to just leave it alone. i only go to see them now to see how bad they are but it really is hurtful. it's such a quality piture and they've ruined it :(

How could I be any more chilled out? I put a tongue face to show I was joking lol.

I don't see it going anywhere good. 6 was absolutely terrible. Myers had to be about 55 or so in that movie. But I guess a superhuman freak that can't be killed would age nicely; lol.
"I think you are forgetting who you are talking to. LOL."
Oh, I know. You're the resident horror king on this site. You're one of the few posters I'll actually read. Most posters leave me scratching my head wondering what in the hell they were trying to explain in their posts; lol.

See, Part 6 is one of those horror films I shouldn't like, but I do. I think it has one of the best atmosphere's of any Halloween movie (regardless of the far-fetched storyline). I think it's the use of blue tones, or I could be full of shit. Anywho, I like that storyline better than just giving up on it and making H20. I hate it when they ignore previous installments. That's a slap in the face to genre fans as far as I'm concerned. I really don't know if they can come up with anything good if they follow up on that avenue, but they shouldn't have just ignored them. What they should have done was let Myers rest in peace. The series isn't as good without Pleasance anyway. He truly was an intergral part of Halloween.
Oh, and sorry for not realizing you were kidding. Didn't notice the smiley face. I thought you were actually pissed at me for saying that anyone else played Freddy. And I very much agree with you on the "posters that leave you scratching your head." We seem to have several of those. Hehe.

I also liked the atmosphere of 6, but the story was so bad I rank it as the worst Halloween movie (I ignore that Halloween 3 even exists). If I would have been writing H20, I would have ignored that 6 was made. They should have had the story as Laurie being in a mental hospital all those years and have her come back to see her daughter. They could easily explained the daughter was told she was dead because her mom was nuts. Then substitute the daughter for her new son in H2O and the film is that much better. Of course that was too easy so they scrapped 4/5 existence. I wasn't too happy about that fact. I loved 4/5. I do think it was necessary to at least ignore 6 in order to bring back the Laurie character.
I agree it isn't as good without Pleasance, but I actually am happy they are still doing them. I just wished they would wait for better scripts that tie-in the prior movies. I think I'm the only one that loves Resurrection. I even liked Busta. The scene with him cussing out Myers still cracks me up. I personally think they should have made an entire movie with Curtis in the hospital before she was killed. They could have made an AMAZING movie surrounding Myers finally killing her. Oh well, it doesn't surprise me when greedy produces screw up sequels with potential.
Another thing I think they could do is have the escaped nut pretend to be Myers and go back to Hadonfield. They could interplay the real Myers and the impostor pretty well if they get a good writer, but I bet the studio is too cheap to hire a good writer to write that movie.
I think I've rambled on enough and will stop now lol.

I'm so astounded that you loved Resurrection that I can barely respond. LOL.
Our opinions differ on some stuff, but I agree with your last comment. No, not the one about you rambling. The one about interplaying a copycat killer with the real Myers. That could be cool if they had a talented writer and director. I'd actually like to watch that movie.

i don't know i think that a copy cat killer would be to complicated to do and would end in a terrible sequel. hey nirvana nole you know that ther is a quote button so you will not have to re-type what that person had already posted. its right under the avatar.

i loved pt 6. i liked it better than H2O. in H2O, he only killed 6 people. he killed more than that in the hospital scene on pt 6. he was unstoppable in pts 4-6. they should go back to that. i was dissatisfied with pt 8. cmon now, busta rhymes was whippin mike like he was some scrub. that's nonsense.

i heard that Halloween 9 was going to bring back Jamie Lee Curtis, Busta Rhymes, and Josh Hartnett, with a few new characters such as Britney Spears being added into the mix. My friend (who lies alot) said he saw a preview for Halloween 9 online somewhere. And in the preview They show Michael walking down a dark dark hallway. And then Jamie Lee Curtis come out from a closet behind him and say "Michael, guess whos back to kick you ass." sounds kind of cheesy if you ask me but like i said my friend lies alot! so anyway yea Jamie Lee Curtis comes back, and its supposed to take place in Britney's character's school. The whole school thing has been done before but I really think they could use that whole scenery again. And supposdly this is the one where they finaly kill Michael. Which will totaly suck cuz then my dream of being in a Halloween movie would be over.

personally i think the only bad Halloween movie was #3, which shouldnt even count as a real movie considering Michael wasnt in it. Halloween Resurrection was a great movie. I loved it. The only bad parts about it is when Laurie supposdly dies, and Busta Rhymes otherwise it was a great picture.

hey...just a quick question....
I have a "shady" character that occasionally sells me some "pre-release" movies n shit, and I was having a look at his list, and saw a movie title "Halloween 666"....any ideas what the hell this is?
Michael Myers 1

I think what you are reffering to is one of the many titles for Halloween 6. I think 666 is some kind of curse. But Halloween 6 is just what it is its the same thing. It has had many names like Halloween 6: The Origin of Michael Myers and Halloween 666.
By the Way. Im new hear and have a happy new year :)

i can almost guarentee that Jamie lee Curtis will NOT be in the next one, she is the one that wanted her character killed off in Ressurection, cause she didn't want to be in anymore of the sequals!! And if busta rhymes is in the next one lets hope that he is the first one that gets killed!!
I also agree that lately in H20 and Ressurection, they made Michael look to weak and soft, they need to make him appear unstoppable and driven again!
But as far as right now goes, I think they have had a couple of scripts reviewed, but they were all put down, so we will have to wait and see??

Avenger,
I love that movie. :-)
Crazy,
I know. But if I want to reply to certain parts of a post at different times, it is easier to do what I did.
Damn, it looks like I'm the only one that enjoyed the comedy Busta brought to the movies. Myers still kicked his ass. Busta isn't exactly a small guy. If Curtis can fight him off at times, Busta definitely would be able to give him some trouble.

i dunno i guess i have a different opinion then some of you, I wish they had jsut had Hallwoeen 1, 2, and H20! i like the other oens for different stories involving Michael but i dont think they should have had to do with Laurie Strode!
I too liked the shades of Blue that u guys talked about in H6, really gave u a dark feeling and it kept everything eerie!
I could on ly hope they have Jamie Lee Curtis, or bring back SOMEONE from teh original! someone related to Loomis maybe.. or related to one of the nurses! Just bring it back to the original and it would kick ass!
well thats my opinion!

You know what i hate about horror movies, is that when the victim gets killed, they dont actually show the knife going in to them it is kinda off camera when it happens. I hate that.
They should bring back Jamies baby but that was sick that dr. Loomis had sex with jamie and they had a baby. That is sick shit

They should've stopped at one. Halloween would be thought of much more highly if there weren't 7 (soon to be 8) sequels to it. Unless the sequels were great, but they sucked.
