I joined this site to find out the name of this movie that scared me to death as a kid, and I've never seen it again, and I can't recall the title. Though for some reason I thought it was the classic "Last House on the Left", but I'm not sure that it was.
From what I recall, it began with a house, and a crippled old lady in a wheelchair, who was alone, she wheeled herself into either the bathroom, or her bedroom, where a noose slipped around her neck, and she was hoisted out of her chair and hung. Later there is a newsman ontop of a building which is being worked on, a crane drops a building block onto him, though the controls on the crane I think were moved through mind control. And my last memory which traumatised me, was the man who entered the meatshop in search of the killer... and found cows on a meathook, everything began moving by itself, machinary etc. The man stepped back into a meat grinder which turned on, and later his friend found him on a hook with the cows.
Anyone have any idea what this movie is called? I want to scare myself again after all this time.lol Thanks.

try watching mario bava's a bay of blood (aka twitch of the death nerve; aka last house on the left part 2) and see the beginning of the film where the old lady in the wheelchair gets hanged....
...i guess you read the plot summary on imdb, in future don't trust them implicitly and try reading the user comments (better and more accurate info). 6 pages of user comments and the word "camping" is never mentioned - yet some 2 sentence plot summary persuades you that the film isn't the one you seek, plus the scene at the beginning is mentioned several times in the comments.

alright thanks. :)
actually I read the comments at Amazon.com for the DVD. It mentions campers and some prequel to slasher films like Friday the 13th. That this movie began that genre.
I just wish I knew the meat grinder scene cause that really disturbed me.lol

Meat Grinder? Try some of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. Those took place near slaughter houses.

I know it wasn't any Texas Chainsaw movies...
This movie involved some unseen killer for the most part who used mind control to kill. and one was turning the meat grinder on when the guy stepped back into it... the other being the newsman smashed by a concrete block that was hanging from a crane ontop of a building. I guess it may be unrelated to the old lady being hung as mentioned above... but as I said I havent seen these movies since i was like a near baby. Why my parents brought me to these were unreal. But they were 19 and 20 when I was born
