I was walking late at night and I took a shortcut through this dark path that came out at a school. When I came out of the path there was a man in like a squat with his elbows pushed into him crying with his hands and face against the brick wall. Walking about 15 feet behind him, I kept thinking "please don't turn around, please don't turn around" He wasn't just crying, he was moaning in between sobs and scratching the wall and it was just really bizarre.

when IA caught me masturbating. . . onto his mom. .

(and see, no monkey references!)

my two real scariest moments: years ago i was walking through a dark alley taking a short cut back from a party when a guy came running out of his house and put a .357 in my face and told me to put my hands up. . . needless to say I did and then the cops showed up and it turned out the guy's house was being broken into and when he came running out i was the only person in the alley so he thought it was me. . . i declined to press charges and the guy sent me a nice note saying how sorry he was.

the second was a few weeks back - i already posted about it - where a bear ran me and my friend out of our camping site. . . i recently saw in the news that the bear had been 'put down'. . .which sort of makes me sad (though i think it was only a matter of time before it really hurt someone)

I woke up one morning when I was eight months pregnant, got out of bed and walked to my dresser to turn on the lamp. I felt something funny on my foot, and turned the light on to find that sometime in the night, a black widow had spun a web between my dresser and the floor. I had stuck my foot in the web and the spider was actually crawling on my foot. I kicked it off, then went and got a shoe and rubbed the little sucker into spider pate. Afterwards, I didn't stop shaking for an hour. If it would have bitten me, me being as pregnant as I was, I imagine it would have hurt both of us pretty badly.
I don't even like to think about it.

Let's see...

I was driving to meet my wife (we were still just dating). it Was April 4, 2003, and being that i Live in New England, it was Sleeting hardcore at about 6 at night on a friday. anyway, i see somehting moving across the street ahead of me , so i started to slow down, then i realised there was a moose in the road maybe 30 feeet ahead of me. I slammed on the breaks and swerved into the oncoming lane, but i hit her with the left sideof my car. the headlight hit her front legs, and the bulk of her body hit the passenger side of the roof, pinning the corner to the headrest of the passenger seat. Luckily, i was the only one in the car.

i ended up on the shoulder of the opposite side of the road, the moose was dead about 20 feet behind the car. The impact caused her to skid more than 100 feet on the road (although it was covere din sleet an very slick). if i hadnt risked runninginto oncoming traffic, she would have destroyed the entire front of my car, andi would have been dead on impact.

it took me almost a month to stop seeing the accident every time i closed my eyes.

Are these separate events? I mean, did you see a ghost with a mask on, and then see a knife floating over you on a different occasion?

I'm kind of a shtickler for grammar...

When my wife was delivering our fisrt child. The labor was insanely long - 18 hours - and she was exhausted. When Folsom was born, we were overjoyed - until I saw the expression on the doctor's face.

My wife's uterus wasn't contracting like it should and she was hemorrhaging. It was a mess. Blood soaked the bed and ran on the floor. What little color was in her face was quickly draining away.

They stitched her up (no drugs - just like the crazy long labor) and stabalized her, but the doctor told me that it was "a close one."
