Yeah, well, anyway, occasionally I read the banner ads at the top of the page, and every once in a while one of them leads to something interesting. I'm still going through this site, and you know, this is some pretty, uh, interesting material here.

www.johndiesattheend.com

It's recommended for mature audiences, and even then you have to be one of those types who can "take it," if you know what I mean

I would have posted this in the Literature section, but the more I look at this, the less certain I am that it's literature.

The banner add I just saw at the top of the page is a lesbian dating site:

www.girlfriendsmeet.com

Some discovery I found. :(

New plan: Disregard my post. Vamp's is better. Pass it on.

It's campy. Campy can be good. I'd watch it, might not like it, but I'd give it a chance. Apparently it isn't as terrible as one might assume.

You did the same thing I did crab, clicked on that link.
I started reading-finished it late last night.
It was SO GOOD!!
Funny,horrible,slightly scary.
It got a little tedious cause you could tell where the author stopped the story and then picked it up again at a later date but it was still better than alot of famous unnamed people I have read.

I totally see a young smartass Vince Vaughn playing John in a movie version.

Yeah, what I've read of it is mostly pretty funny with a little bit of scary mixed in...that thing at the beginning about the creature that looks like a badger and also like an anaconda--a "badgerconda"--caught my attention. "This guy's kooky," I thought.

My favorite part is when John grabs the chair when they are in Las Vegas fighting at the Luxor and starts acting like that wrestler? I laughed my ass off cause I could SEE that scene in my head.

The characters are totally insane because,well..wouldn't we all be in their situation?
It's just so funny when ,here they are looking straight at a nightmare and, they are cracking off these sarcastic one-liners.

I also thought is was hilarious at all the ways John answered his phone when Dave called him.

You know....I think I like this book or whatever it is. "On-line word-of-mouth phenomenon," "web novel," whatever you want to call it, this is some entertaining stuff.

I have been reading the message boards at Wong's webpage and the paperback version ($19.95 if you missed the billions of ads for it:) ) of this has been edited for a more streamlined consistant story. (although no one really seems to be that upset-and most say it is still a very good read)

I spent the whole day yesterday reading this 'web novel'

very much in the style of Dean Koontz, and as he's my favourite author, that's probably why i enjoyed it so much :)

I also thought there was enough material in this for two books not just one

What exactly is this about? And why is it recommended for mature audiences.

The horrific stuff is reasonably graphic. It probably wouldn't hurt to read the first chapter, get a feel for it.

I knew I wanted to keep reading when I read the word "badgerconda." I'm about two thirds of the way through it. Quite a few times I have laughed out loud, and several times now, I have been out in the world doing things and an image will pop into my mind and I will start laughing again. It's some genuinely funny material IMO.

This person writes some funny stuff. I read that article in the link above ("7 Reasons...etc.") and I was giggling at that too.

Finally finished the book. Pretty entertaining.
