Scariest?...maybe...

Creepiest?...definitely...

Goes along with "the calls are coming from INSIDE the house"...

I think both When a Stranger Calls and When a Stranger Calls Back boast the scariest openings ever. Kevin Williamson totally ripped them off when he wrote Scream. Hell, since no one's replying to this one, I'm just going to make a thread about scariest opening sequences.

I have to admit, when I first saw that movie, cant for the life of me remember the title, but anyhow, that freaked me out. Dunno why, but that is some eerie stuff there for sure.

Yeah...that is a pretty freakin' spooky beginning. We just bought our first home and we must have acquired some weird person's phone number when we got our phone hooked up because we get SO many hang-ups, strange noises on the line and wrong numbers with people who speak different languages--well, none that I understand anyhow. It scares the s*** outta me when I'm here myself. I've watched WAYYYY too many horror movies in my day. My BF asked the other day how in the world I could keep my sanity without blinds and curtains on all the windows in the front rooms--he doesn't watch horror movies:mad: but even he wonders about people peeking through the windows. He doesn't understand how I'm not too afraid to wander around the house not thinking some nut can see me after watching the fates of all the horror film characters. I wasn't spooked by it until he pointed it out.;)

That was off topic...but that's normal for me, I suppose.

For those of you who are fans of 'Black Christmas' and 'This film, I highly reccoemend the film that did it even before Bob Clark.

'Silent Night BLOODY Night'~~ Not to be conused with 'Silent Night DEADLY Night'.

A very moody film with some great kill scenes for its time. Came out in '72 or '73 I think.
