okay, start posting
Just kidding. Okay so where do I start on this one. Dreams are always interesting and fun to interpret, and occasionally we all have dreams that are extremely strange to the point of being very amusing.
A person will often dream about things that are current to him/her.......like, for instance, I had a dream about audiobooks once. It so happened that at the time I was listening to a lot of audio books, because down the street from me was a place that sold used ones cheep. It was a perfect sort of literary entertainment at work because I could read with me ears so to speak, and keep my eyes on what I was doing.
Okay, so I had this dream that I was in a store that sold audiobooks...a small, dark store I had just discovered and wandered into...and I was going over the audiobook shelf. And there on the shelf was.......an audiobook version of THE NOVELIZATION of the film "TENTACLES," READ BY BASIL RATHBONE. My God, how neat! I had never heard that Basil Rathbone had recorded audiobooks of exploitation films, and this had me flabbergasted. I had to buy it.
Just as I was reaching for the box, I woke up, confused. I thought about it for a moment and realized just how absurd the whole idea was.

I dreamed I had puppies-6 of them to be exact.
Then I had this other dream where I had my baby and they said-"here's your girl!"
And I started arguing with them because I knew I had just had a boy.
I woke up still saying"Bring me my son!!"-it was wierd.
the sad thing is i never dream (ok - i know a bunch of people will tell me that 'everyone dreams' so i'll just say that i never remember my dreams) . . which is a pity, i quite like the idea of dreaming and enjoy hearing other people's dreams. . . but when i wake up in the morning the only thing i remember is going to sleep the night before (well, unless its been a really GOOD night then i don't even remember passing out!)

My most vivid dream was when I was about 10.
I loved Scooby Doo. Loved. I watched the show everyday and had t-shirts, etc.
So I dreamed that I was at my kitchen counter, making a sandwich...with Scooby and Shaggy. It was a grand old time, we were laughing and having a good time.
Then Scooby totally snapped, and started howling and whatnot, and Shaggy turned into this horrible beast thing, scary as hell.
They chased me around the counter, and we started going faster and faster until we were going, like, 100 miles an hour.
Then we exploded.
I like the flying dreams...not really flying like Superman...more like floating...up..up..up...over the trees.
and of course the wet ones are good as well

I like those flying dreams too, don't have them very often tho.
The nicest thing about my dreams is that they're in colour not black and white

EDIT- I spent alot of time writing this. I know that its a long post, but I would really apreciate you reading it all.
I think I may have posted one (or both) of these before...whatever, I'll post 'em again.
First one:
I was at my house. For some reason, my parents kicked me out and I had to live in a tent on my lawn, and all I had was this crazy Gameboy that let you play 3 games at once. Anyway, I got this weird feeling that something bad was about to happen, so I went for a walk around. There's this small little park/gardens thing right near my house, and as I walk past it I see a friend of mine with his dad, walking their dog (a St Bernard).
Here’s where it gets freaky.
I look down the street and see this huge pack of flaming, black dogs tearing down the street. They run past, and char my friend/his dad/their dog to a crisp. I’m so terrified I start seeing the world in a different way, in black and red (like that old Virtual Boy thing). I don’t really remember what happened next....all I remember after that is walking out the back door of my house, reaching for the car door (it was a white convertible)...and getting struck by lightning.
After that, the view panned from me on the ground to the bright blue sky...and I heard an announcer say "Lightning: A new show coming this fall to CTV".
That’s when I woke up, scared shitless.
Ok, Dream #2. The most realistic dream that I have EVER had....well, the first part at least.
A bit of backstory first: In reality, I was spending the night at my grandmother's house. Its the kind of house that just has this evil aura to it, hard to describe, but it always has and always will freak me out. I swear on my life that its haunted, even though I don’t have any evidence to back that up.
Ok, so onto the dream. The first part, perhaps, could have in fact been a ghost sighting instead of part of the dream...Id never thought of that until now, but now that the thought has crossed my mind it makes perfect sense.
So I’m lying in my bed at her house, facing the door, which is open. At the time I swore I was awake (and now with the ghost theory that I just thought of...maybe I really was). From behind the door, a short man wearing an overcoat and a hat is staring at me. The scariest thing about him is his eyes...pure white and glowing, with a triangle shape to them. I try to get to sleep, but I am compelled to look at him. I try to close my eyes, but can’t keep them shut for more than a few minutes. Images are flashing through my head...random, meaningless yet terrifying images.
From this point on, the dream lost its sense of reality. I know it was a dream from here on out...I’m not to sure about that last part though.
Eventually I do mange to fall asleep, but I’m thrown out of the room by the man. I look back in and he's jumping on my bed. I try to go back in, but he (literally) kicks me out. From the shadows a very tall man dressed in a red, soldier-like uniform saves me. I don’t really know what he did, but I remember that he saved me...and I passed out.
Once again, I woke up. This time in the hallway of my house. I was tied to a chair, and one of the bears from Bananas in Pajamas was torturing me with some kind of glowing device. My parents beat the shit out him.
That’s when I really woke up.
As soon as I did, I checked around the door from something that could have cast a shadow. Not a thing. Not a damn thing. I was petrified in the first place, but thats when I got REALLY scared.
Ok, that’s a long enough post for now (probably the longest post I’ve ever made on this forum). I have one or two more semi-interesting ones, but I'll post them later. Neither are nearly as good (or as scary) as the two I just posted.

No, seriously........that dream with the lightning and the voiceover announcer...that's brilliantly weird and imaginative. I have had dreams like that, I totally understand what an effed up experience that probably was.

I used to have a recurring nightmare that spooked the hell out of me, it was only short and came from a scene in the movie Phantasm, you know the bit right at the end where the kid sees the tall man in the mirror but when he turns round there's no-one there and then the things come out of the mirror and grab him (sounds a bit vague i know, but i was only about 20 when i saw the film), well change me for the kid and that's the nightmare!!!
I would wake up in terror, with my heart pounding and the sweat dripping off me, i know that's the part of the movie that scared me i just don't know why, there were much worse parts to that film but i had the dream every night for about 6 months, sometimes more than once a night, got to the point where i was afraid to go to sleep.
I did manage to get it to stop eventually but only by completely shutting all memory of the film out of my mind, so much so that i actually remember very little about it (which is why the description is so vague) and wasn't even aware they had made a sequel, let alone 3.
I now have the whole set in my collection but haven't yet plucked up the courage to watch it, i do want to see it to try to understand why it scared me so much because it's not like i was a child at the time, or that i wasn't used to watching horror movies, going to have to be early in the day though and not alone.
i have this recurring nightmare where i work in a cubicle, can't get a date and my main social outlet is a message board for, get this, horror fans. . . then i break my hand and can barely type. . . oh wait . . . its NOT A DREAM!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH HHHHHH

One of my recurring nightmares:
I'm standing at the edge of a lake surrounded by hills. The sky is cloudy. In front of me is a pier that goes out into the water. At the end is a small boy, kneeling on the edge of the pier, looking into the water. I walk up behind him to see what he's looking at, although I know it's going to be bad. Floating on the water is what looks almost like a cigar box, which is open. Light is pouring out of the box, but inside I can see a fish on it's back, split open from head to tail. There are wires and lines running out of the fish into the glowing whatever floating around it. The middle of the lake starts boiling, and a decomposing skeleton with a scythe comes from the middle of the boiling, runs across the top of the water and cuts the little boy in half and then I'm suddenly standing at the end of a long hallway. The floor is old wood, and running the length of the hallway are those old windows with the frosted glass that you crank to open. I walk the length of the hallway, and as I do I notice there is something walking along the outside with me, but it's only a shape because of the frosted glass. I come to one of the cranks, and start opening the window to see what it is, even though I know it's going to be bad already. On the other side is this horrible thing that looks like an Xray of Jesus from the waist up, crown of thorns and all, only his eyes are the size of baseballs, and completely white. From the waist down, there is a mass of tentacles that move constantly and independantly of each other.
Then, I wake up. I've dreamed it for years.
You would think I would've learned not to open the window by now.

Yeah. There's ways you can deal with that dream, you know. On top of the page you will see some links to sites about windows--Replacement Windows, Replacement Window Quotes, Double Hung Vinyl Windows, and so on. I think replacing the dream windows would solve the problem. Mm, yeah. Ought to work. Mm-hmm.

This is how I have become. Since I met Stefanie, I have not had one single dream to remember. Prior to that, every single time I went to sleep, I'd have a nightmare.
The last one I actually remember, I was torn up inside from not being able to save this one poor girl, that I stuck a gun in my mouth and pulled the trigger. I actually died in the dream. People say that it's impossible because peoples will to live is so strong, but mine apparently wasn't.

Yep, I'm sure you're right. If only I could dream some nice floral pattern curtains into my nightmare, the thing on the other side of the glass would surely be smiling and holding some nice cobbler and white wine.
Why didn't I think of that?:p

I die all the time in dreams.
For instance:
I was in a old wooden shack. It had 2 stories, and I was right at the top of the stairs standing beside a large white thing that looked like a fridge. My captors were nearby, talking about the nuclear bomb (it turns out, thats what the fridge-thing was). They tell me not to move, and I dont, until I see a bowl of scotch mints sitting on a table down stairs. I run down, eat some, then run back to my spot....just as the bomb explodes.
Until now, the dream was in third person, like watching a movie. Now it switches to my own pont of view. Im looking down on the scene where I just was. my body is strewn among the reckage of the shack.
For some reason, this dream didnt really scare me. I havent had a single nightmare since the second one in my first post on this topic.
I dont really remember alot about the only reccuring dream Ive ever had. Well actually, it wasnt really recurring...it continued.
I was in a maze of hallways and door was 2 other people. We would wander through, opening doors which usually only led to other hallways. Some would have creatures behind them (like Vampires), while others would be blocked off with pink insulation.
It went on like that for 3 nights. At the emd of the third night, we found a bright, golden room at the end of a corridor. My two friends walked into the light and waved goodbye, saying that they had to wake up. I turned away from them, and went back into the labyrinth....
Then I woke up. Well, maybe I woke up...I turned away when my friends went to "wake up", so maybe Im really still traveling through the labyrinth and my whole life from that point has been a dream...freaky.

Well last night I dreamt that me and my girl hijacked a bus, not sure where it all started though. As we were makeing our getaway this chick who worked with once leached onto a side window like a gremlin, I just started back at her puffing on my cigaret, i knew she wanted one, she actually stole apack of me once. Anyway I can remember any more details except we pulled over at atrain atstion to check the timetable and locked them on the bus, then I woke.
I've got some good one's from my childhood but I'll save them for later....
