Okay...I know that this is completely off topic and random as hell...BUT...My pizza just got here, and we each have to have a different pizza because NONE of us like the same toppings...So, that got me wondering about what would be considered the BEST pizza, since everyone has such different tastes...
What is your favorite place to get pizza from, and what toppings do you always get on it?
For us, it's Papa John's...That's the only part that we all agree on...But, Demon Seed can really tear up some Pizza Hut, too...
Demon Seed...Extra Pizza Sauce, Extra Cheese
Wicked Lady...Pepperoni, Bacon, Extra Cheese
Shinobi...Pepperoni, Ham, Hamburger
Me...Mushrooms, Black Olives, Green Olives, Onions, Extra Pizza Sauce
See what I mean?...The differences even within our own family are pretty unbelievable...Everyone thinks that MY pizza is gross, btw...But, hey...More for me:D :p

Man would I settle for a Dominos or Little Ceasars or something out here.
IF we want good pizza we have to leave the shire and drive 150 miles north into Mordor (Chicago Suburbs) to get Ginos East, best damn deep dish pizza in the world. Only 2 reasons to drive to Mordor destroy the ring of power and get good pie.
Gandalf and the hobbits like deep dish cheese only.

Okay, say it! Tell me about your pizza desires, preferences. If you were going to order one right now, what would it be?
I just decided that putting a whole bunch of toppings on pizza kind of muddies the flavor...I even feel that two toppings is TWO many! One topping is best, and I prefer pepperoni, the perfect pizza topping for its flavor and texture.

Deep Dish w/ xtra cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms (magic or otherwise), green peppers & a little parm. cheese
That'll be here in 30 minutes or less or it's free, right?

i am really flexible about what goes on my pizza, but i have no stomach for that california pizza crap like broccoli, goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, or barbecue chicken pizza....
Digiorno stuffed crust 4 cheese pizza is surprisingly good.

I happen to LOVE that California style pizza. Roasted garlic, feta, spinach, sun-dried tomatos & red onion on an olive oil base is awesome.
However, I like the old school stuff, too. I dig green peppers, jalapenos, banana peppers with some italian sausage & mushrooms.

Peperoni, bacon and Jalapenos is a good mix.
American bacon, not Canadian Back Bacon. Canadians are a little to gamey for my taste.

I love pizza dearly, but I have ulcers, so the only pizza I can stomach is the fake Totino's pizza that's basically ketchup and cheese shavings on a big cracker.
It's not fair.:(

LOL I can't wait for virtual restaurants. Wouldn't it be great to eat whatever you wanted, without all the side effects? If I could sit down and eat an entire virtual pizza with a side of ribs and full calorie soda, I would happily choke down Lean Cuisine for the rest of my life.
That's going to be great.:)

Sounds like the "Simsense" from Shadowrun, or even the brain recordings from strange days.
You realize porn will be the driving force behind that technology, right? There will be perverts dropping dead all over the world.

If they ever have that, I'm going to eat a deep fried stick of butter wrapped in bacon & dipped in gravy & mayo every day

As for virtual porn, better they hide in their houses and simulate themselves to death than hang around on the streetcorners in their raincoats.
God bless virtual porn.

I see it! I just looked up Hell Pizza in New Zealand...oohhhhhkay. It's a pizza company. (I'm not in New Zealand so I never heard of the place.) Is that stuff any good, or does it suck? It looks good in the picture.

Okay, granted, this is a multi-topping pizza, which makes it really not good. But it is good, anyway. And it's frozen! Well, this is what the picture on the box looked like. It actually was pretty damn good.
I still never heard of Hell Pizza, I swear there isn't one in Los Angeles, but I like the name. There used to be a Red Devil Pizza down the street about twenty years ago, they turned into a liquor store or something, but I always liked the idea of a Red Devil trying to sell you pizza....I mean he can't be all bad...there's worse things a person can do with his time...or maybe it was a she. Now Devil Girl Pizza, I see possibiilities there. Who's with me on that. Oh who cares what you think anyway. Be that way

being from NYC the pizza capitol of the world :) the choices are limitless. but my favorite would be vodka sauce pizza with fresh mozarella or baked ziti pizza. there is also a chicken cutlet and chicken marsala pizza that are pretty amazing as well.

Oh yah! The types of pizza there must be all-encompassing awesome. I've heard the stories, that's fer sure.
I seem to remember a place that did this amazing seafood pizza with shrimp and other stuff on it...it was good for about two years and then they changed ownership and all their recipes got redone, badly...

Hey crabapple - what's your second favorite pizza?
crabapple
08-02-2006, 09:57 AM
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll hmm
Well that I guess would be veggie with different veggies
Or maybe Hawaiian with pineapple and ham.
I guess if it's a certain type, I can deal with multiple toppings.
But "everything" pizzas are wrong, they have some kind of identity issues...trying to be all things to all pizzas...just like everything bagels, silly idea really, it's the kitchen sink syndrome. How bout you whats your second favorite. Would that be HAM(mer)?
hammerfan
08-02-2006, 10:09 AM
hehehe, you're funny!
Actually, I like HAM(burger) pizza, pepperoni, HAM and pineapple. And I agree with you about the "everything" pizzas - too much going on there. And the same with the bagels - gotta be able to taste the cream cheese along with the flavor of the bagel.

I used to live in California, born and raised, and there's a chain out there that has the most incredible pizza ever.
Round Table Pizza.
GodDAMN.
Anyway, just pepperoni for me, please.
We should have a HDC pizza party.

Seafood on pizza? Never heard of such a thing! What kind of seafood? I like most seafood, but I never considered putting it on pizza.
