So, Wednesday there was a really bad storm that knocked out most of the county's power. Fortunately, we were one of the ones who had power for once. Until Friday morning when a second storm knocked out the rest of the county's power. We had no power until Tuesday afternoon, and had no cable or internet until this morning. It was hot and stuffy and dark and we couldn't charge anything (cell phones, iPod, etc) unless we drove somewhere, and driving was a nightmare because of the traffic lights being out in the midst of all the construction.
so how was YOUR weekend?

Does that mean you couldn't take a shower either? Thats my least favorite part of power outages. Nothing like being stuck in a house with nothing to do but smell your own body odor:)

We've been having a lot of power problems out here too. But it's not from storms, it's from the heat being so intense it's killing the transformers and other equipment. I guess 59 people have died from the heat in the last week. Even the farm animals in the Valley are croaking and being left to rot where they fall, because they can't dispose of them fast enough.
I'm ready for fall.

59 people in a few weeks, that's precise, and you have nothing to do with it, ok. where do you live? Hell?

Heh. Close.
I live in California.
And I keep up on the news. Besides, it's mostly old people dying, and killing old people wouldn't be much fun, now would it?
Besides, it's too hot to be running around serial killing.
:D

:D you lack dedication. that is when Ricard Ramirez did most of hi work. He took advantage of a heat wave to just crawl in through the open windows of houses that didnt have AC.
