just a suggestion:
howbout a spot where members can talk to a friend & make a date of watching the AMC flix on friday nights & talking back & forth during commercials? I know this ain't no dating site, but maybe it could work! I'm sure you moderators or whatever allready thought about this, and I'll get shot down, but hey, my sister met her husband on a crime movie site that did that same thing! just thought it might be an idea to throw around, I'm happilly involved with my girl Tracy(she'll no doubt be a member soon), but it's tuff to find bi girls in Ks for her that are not scared of us. does that make sense? please let me know why my idea is doomed....

 Ok....Half of what you said didn't make sense to me. Especially the BI girl part...My girlfriend...er...Fiance' is BI and loves horror movies. Most all of my friends love horror movies for that matter. Finding a girl that enjoys Zombie flicks is another story.
But no, this isn't a stupid idea, in fact I almost did this once, but I chickened out. lol

What the hell is this?! A thread for flirting on HDC?! This is rediculous. There is absolutely no point to this. Why would anyone want to flirt with anyone else here? We just don't do that. I mean, if I were to tell Miss Olivia that her comments are extremely thought provoking; and that she seems to be a fun & witty girl whom I'd love to get together and cook with, what would the community think of me? If I were to say, "monalisa, everytime I read your posts it makes me smile. You are undoubtedly an interesting person whom I'd love to get to know over a few drinks & some laughs," well, it just wouldn't be appropriate. We're here to coldly talk about horror movies, not meet interesting people with the same quirks we have. For shame, frank drake, for shame!*
*Please note that the above post may contain badly spelled gratuitous flirting & sarcasm. If you are not the type whom appreciates such, please don't read it.

i might if your a good enough! then you could get a digi cam;)
personally, i find the whole internet/chatroom/forum dating thing kind of weird. . . .i've definitely done it but it always ends up weird. either the relationship just sort of fizzles, or one person starts pushing for a 'real-world' relationship and the other pulls back. . . (but, come to think of it, this is exactly the same as my real life dating situation!!! oh my god - ITS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Slow response on my part, I know, but that was a great answer especially the digi cam! Yes, Dante, I think that was a HINT, oh great unphotographed one! :p

But if 2 people can survive the whole "I had a crush on you but I don't anymore" thing, you can actually become better friends because of it. As long as both people respect each other.
