I'm starting to wonder what are the most rarest horror movies out there, and are they considered to be worth money?

It could be debated whether or not it's "horror" (personally Id say it isnt, but some would disagree), but the 1998 Criterion edition of Salo, The 120 Days of Sodom is supposedly the most valuable DVD there is.

First question how much is it? Im just curious if there are any dvd collectibles not box sets but like horror dvds that have a limited run that worth anything.

Supposedly it can go for over $600. It was recalled shortly after it's release due to copyright issues, and other editions have since been released, but the Criterion version with the "white ring" around the hub is widely considered the rarest DVD.

Is there an actual website that you can go to that will show you rare dvds?

$600.....WHAT THE FUCK.......for that money i want the director himself to bring the movie to my house WITH a case of beer, and after he blows me, he can cut my lawn and take out the garbage.........and maybe wash my car.

The movie Nekromantik is a very tough one to find.

Even Netflix only has it's sequel.

Strangely enough, the local indie DVD rental place in my town has a copy of it. I was quite happy to find and rent it.

Well, there are several movies, like Ricky 6, that hasn't been released on video at all. You can find pirated copies on eBay. Same thing with the Red Room series. Like I said, though, you can find them.

How do you manage to get these deals?

The Legend of Hillbilly John...really rare! Sold mine a while back to pay a bill or two.

Return of the Living Dead Part 2 ...without the awful redone music score on the DVD! Hard to find. Got to get the VHS to hear it as it originally was.

Halloween with the ORIGINAL musical score, and not the redone version for the THX remix.

Difficult to find a lot of stuff in its original form, if it's had music or sound effects changed...The Terminator...they put out a remixed DVD. Sounds great! But does it feature the original sound effects? Noooooooooooo! The gunshots are different, a lot of little sound effects are different!

A Chinese Ghost Story...they put out a remastered DVD a year or two back. They changed half the music cues! A lot of the scenes are totally different sounding!!!!!! It's wrong! Wrong I tell ya, wrong!

Impaling sawn-off chairlegs into the crotch of slimy cadavers and then fucking them (don't forget condom for protection), and of course slicing off the head of a guy during intercourse to be replaced by the head of a dead guy to improve the sex (erection - of alive/dead guy - maintained via rubber band technology).
