Wow, this is really exciting! Hope the labor goes quickly and delivery goes as beautiful as it can be. Just don't scream at any of us "you dirty bastasrd, this is all your fault you fucker!!!!" Just kidding, some pretty humorous, but understandablely nasty things have been said during labor. :) Hope it goes well and quickly for you and congratultions!!!! Take care! And let us know how everything is when you feel up to it.

Look on the bright side. You will never know the searing agony of being kicked in the bollocks.

Surely giving birth is easier than that? :p ;) :D

Good luck with it all and, for the love of the gods, if they offer you drugs to ease the pain, take them!

The weird thing is, through all this pain i have the deepest urge to clean everything. For any of you who have had a child, do you know anything that will help speed this up?

That burst of energy is completely normal, it happened to me with both of my sons.
Walking will help, if you really want to go ahead and get it over with. I could tell you another way, but it isn't very pleasant, and I think walking is much better.

Dunno why men to get so sit it out, but I would light a candle everydy because of it if the Church would accept me... :D

But seriously, may I suggest Demoral when you go in? Pain? What pain? :D

Demerol didn't do a damn thing for me.
Epidural is the way to go.
Comfortably numb.:D

This is kind of humourous. I was the 3rd one born in my family (yes the "baby" of the family) Anyway, my sister came out breach, and not leg first, but butt first, and they didn't do a c-section, my poor mom had to give birth that way by passing her through her. So when I came along 4 years later, I was kind a surprise cuz they didn't think mom could have any more kids. But as a result, I kind of fell out of mom. I was the largest of us 3 babies, yet ended up being the skinniest (skrawny) when I got older. Don't seem to have that problem anymore!

Anyway, I was born like 20 minutes after they arrived. My dad was in the "father's waiting room" and had just started into a sandwich that he had made. They came out and said he had a new, healthy baby daughter. And he ACTUALLY said this, "but I haven't had my sandwich yet." The nurse just looked at him and smiled and said, "This isn't your first is it." Funny, I think. And for whatever blessed reasons, my mom never had a labor pain with me, just a feeling that they should get to the hospital. Good thing they trusted that feeling!

Hope you're doing alright Pinky!!!!!!!!!

HA!!! That line cracked me up! The only way it could be better is if he said it with his mouth full. :D

Pink Floyds's Echoes could be relaxing for labor, or for post birth. Baby may like it too.

Another exellecent choice would be Jerry Garcia's and Mel Saunders' Blues from the Rainforest. Beautiful Music!

Nice choices on both of them.

But for REAL relaxing music.....pick up some Ramones.

Yes, the Ramones, well known for their relaxing music, used by many for meditation.

This song has been used at many Lamaze classes.

Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go I wanna be sedated
Nothin' to do no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated
Just get me to the airport put me on a plane
Hurry hurry hurry before I go insane
I can't control my fingers I can't control my brain
Oh no oh oh oh oh

Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go I wanna be sedated
Nothin' to do no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated
Just put me in a wheelchair get me on a plane
Hurry hurry hurry before I go insane
I can't control my fingers I can't control my brain
oh oh oh oh

Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go I wanna be sedated
Nothin' to do no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated
Just put me in a wheelchair get me to the show
Hurry hurry hurry before I go loco
I can't control my fingers I can't control my toes
Oh no oh oh oh oh

I'd recommend this little ditty from AC/DC

Gimme A Bullet (from Powerage!):

She had the word
Had the way
The way of letting me know
She knew the game
Called the play
Oh she hit me low
She said now you go your way
And I'll go mine
And that's a start
Doctor doctor
Ain't no cure
For the pain in my heart

Chorus:
Gimme a bullet to bite on
Something to chew
Gimme a bullet to bite on
And I'll make believe
I'll make believe it's you

Don't need no drink
Don't need no drug
Don't need no sympathy
Sooner or later
Send me a bill
For what she's doin to me
I'll call right up
Long distance lips
On the telephone
Come tomorrow
Come to grips
With me all alone

Chorus

A bullet to bite on
Gimme a bullet to bite on
Cmon now
Yeah yeah bullet to bite
Bullet to chew
I'll make believe it's you
I'll make believe it's you
Gimme a bullet to bite on
You're a bullet baby
I wanna bullet to bite on
