Yes, this belong in the TV forum. Im putting it here because Id actually like to get an answer in the near future.
I just bought the new Masters of Horror DVD, Joe Dante's Homecoming. For those who might not be aware, all the MOH DVD's come with a little trading card about the "master" that directed that particular episode.
Anyway, I looked at Dante's, and saw that it says "#8 of 13". To the best of my knowledge, there has only been 6 MOH DVD's released prior to this...am I missing something?

Not entirely sure. Is it possible that there will be 13 DVDs released total, and Homecoming is #8?
BTW, what did you think of Homecoming? I didn't really care for it myself. This was the only ep I got to see when the series was running on Showtime. It was one of those free movie preview weekends (I'm too cheap to purchase movie packages), and I was really looking forward to seeing it because of all the hype I'd heard about previous eps. For me, it was a real letdown. The premise was an interesting one, but I like my political/social commentary to be a little more subtle, not in-your-face, down-your-throat, hope you don't gag obvious. Then again, that's just me.
Sorry to have changed the tone of the thread. Won't happen again. I promise.:)

The Masters of Horror series has never been too good with numbers, has it? if I recall the order of the episodes shown were shuffled around a bit, same with the intended order since most were standalone. It's nothing to fret - and it was probably done like this. They made the sets, and the cards, and didn't really care of the ORDER it was released in. In all, there should be 13 cards. This is just the 8th out of a series of 13.

There might be a variety of different cards per director and that's # 8 of 13 for that particular type. Not likely, but not impossible.

I went through the other cards last night after noticing this...they're numbered 1 through 6, in the order they were released.
I posted this question on the DVD Affictionado boards as well, maybe they can shed some light on it...

Funny that Homecoming is number 8, because Dario Argento's card in Jenifer is also numbered 8. Possible goof? Yes. Homecoming is actually the 7th one released on DVD, Jenifer is the real #8.

Actually, I think it'd be nice if they merged a few of the forums. We've got a few too many, IMHO. However, in the absence of any admin, there's not much we can do.
