I decided to put this thread in 1970's and up. Because that is where all the REALLY rubbish movies are. So I would like you to vote on the "Most stupid plots" , the "Worst acting"and the "Worst makeup".

Personally I vote "Return to The Cabin by the Lake" on being the most stupid plot and the worst acting I have ever seen in a film.

Worst makeup i'm not sure you lot will have to help me.

Please be kind .. My first thread ...

I don't know if the exact same thread is out there somewhere so just tell me if there is.

I'd have to Leprechaun in the Hood would be down near the bottom for sure.

Also, alot of the Full Moon titles were pretty bad in the 80s.

Troma is usually so bad they are funny.

The Ring sucked a lot.

Killjoy was just plain bad...

Infested had some of the worst (and most abundant) CGI I've ever seen...

I'll think of more, but that's a pretty shitty list for starters....

Undead sucked balls.
The Class of Nuke em High was awful, but I liked it anyway.
Breeders is probably the worst horror movie I've ever seen, and Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor was runner up. I love watching a trashbag attack and kill people.
Oh, and The Food of the Gods was almost as bad. Stupid to the point of hilarity.

i did .. it is oscar material compared to 'a night to dismember'

let me explain a little :

the film was made by a female soft porn director back in the day.

the film is narrated as if it is a true crime story. the only little bit of dialogue is looped in by different actors giving it the look of a poorly dubbed foreign film.

the lighting is so dark you cant see anything thats happening. (this is the DVD .. not some old worn VHS)

the 'gore' looks like something i could do given 5 minutes notice and nothing but the contents of my fridge.

there is no story, there are no actors, there is no action ...

its 100% pure shit that some people have elevated to cult status for some god unknown reason.

its hands down the worst piece of shit ever commited to any medium..

everything mentioned so far is fucking brilliant compared to the movie i'm talking about.

This is what Netflix has to say about it:

Vickie Kent (played by sexy Samantha Fox) is a suspected murderer -- so, of course, she's released from an insane asylum and returns home. But the burning question is: Has Vickie been completely cured of her insanities? The rising body count would tend to discount that hopeful theory. Doris Wishman directs this cult horror classic that packs as much décolletage as flinty shocks. The title says it all … a fun thrill-ride all the way.

I've seen "A Night to Dismember".

It's a REAL piece of fuckin' CRAP. It doesn't even qualify as watchable. In all fairness, supposedly there was some kind of lab accident and they lost most of their footage but were contractually obligated to deliver something, so they put it together with what little footage was left. If you see the film, this story is not difficult to believe. I did enjoy it for whatever it was, though, because it's one of those movies that's so messed up that you actually feel sorry for it.

I have not seen a night to dismember so I couldn't say if it worse then the one I am about to mention

Motor Home Massacre has to be the worse horror movie I seen. There are so many mess ups its crazy.

For instance a guy is wearing a button shirt outside and walks in his motorhome. When he is in there he has a vest and tie on. He walks right back out and the vest and tie are gone. (This is because they filmed it in different days)

The acting is very horrid

A huge knife comes out of no where and kills a guy. The girl then says stop playin! and the guy is bleeding like crazy and you can see the weapon is deep in his skin. Stupid

I have seen a a lot of B horrors and so far this takes the cake

strawberry estates - its a low budget blair witch knock-off (as if BWP wasn't low budget enough) not even bad enough to be funny - - - i literally could have made a better film with a camcorder and two sock puppets (and it would be way scarier!)

For the record, I liked Creep and (just to spite The Flayed One) Boo.:D As for my votes for worst:

Wide theatrical release: The Fog remake for its incoherent storyline and overuse of CGI to attempt to make up for said incoherent storyline.

DTV release: Room 6 for its incoherent storyline, cheesy special effects, and ability to make good actors (or nominally good actors) SUCK!!!!

Care to give a reason why you disliked Creep? It was beautiful in it's photography and effects, it's acting was above average in the realm of these types of films, and then ending was really smart.

Worst movie, eh?

Has anyone seen Blood Diner? HA!!! That was so gawd awful, it had me in tears laughing.

Now as for bad movies that didn't make me laugh? That would be Alone In The Dark. That movie was such shit, a dude that was behind me bootlegging the movie stood up in the middle, declared the movie was ass, turned off the camera and walked out. That's how bad it was.

And about Dagon? Pure crap...But Macarena Gomez as UxÃ_a Cambarro? Woot woot!

How is Dagon "pure crap", explain this to me. The actors are mostly very good, the story (despite straying from the source material) was excellent, and the atmosphere of the film really captured the feel of Lovecraft IMO. One of my all-time favourite horror films, I dont care what anyone says.

Plan 9 From Outer Space...the worst movie ever made...I know y'all think this a Sci Fi, but remember there are zombies and vampires in this flick...also the legendary Bela Lugosi, so I'd think it would qualify...pretty hard to top as the worst movie ever made.

i know some people consider it classic cheese horror, but monster dog has got to be up there w/ the worst... also some honorable mentions:

the blair witch project

I liked both of these, and while you may not have they can NEVER be considered some of the worst. Maybe if you haven't seen much... just 'cause you don't like it doesn't mean it's the worst. Just think, TBWP was very original, and suceeded in fear. TEOER was a good courtoom drama, not exactly "horror".

the exorcism of emily rose
the blair witch project

Worst;

Hey!!! How could you?? Anyway,I dont like Dagon just 'cause: The comic momments are stupid and lose all the ambience. Two, Raquel Meroño-She is one of the worst actress of Spain (and of course of the planet) . The deep ones, man they suppouse to scare the audience ..... don't make them laugh. And turn Insmouth to Invoca was prety stupid, mouth on spanish means just...boca.... 'cause the story tooks place in a village of Galicia they had to change the name to something that looks like a spanis name but the dont ge it.

othewise if you like Dagon maybe you should play to "Cthulhu darkness corners of the earth" 'cause most of the game was bassed upon "The Shadow over Insmouth"

In defense of Blair Witch Project...today's horror movies don't actually scare me, they'll give you a jolt or surprise you with loud or sudden action....but generally the last movie to really scare me (as an adult), was the original Blair Witch, mainly because it was what you don't see and the fact that it transpired in what could be an actual setting...not some legion of dead zombies tearing a man to shreds...that's just gore
