HINCKLEY, Minn. (AP) - Two teenage girls were hurt in an accident on a ride at Hinckley's Corn and Clover Carnival today.

Mayor Tom Lymburner says the girls are both 14 and are from the Hinckley area.

One was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth while the other was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately available

Witnesses say the girls fell about 25 feet from a ride called the Zipper.

The accident was reported just after 5 p-m. The ride was shut down, and inspectors are trying to determine the cause.

The victims' names have not been released.

This year marks Hinckley's 75th Corn and Clover Carnival. The mayor says folks are shocked, and there are a lot of long faces out there among the town's young people.
