Why, yes I can. If you're new to horror, I'd say that short story collections are the way to go. Here's a few to get you started.
Clive Barker - The Books of Blood
Thomas Ligotti - The Nightmare Factory (Good luck finding it, and no, I won't sell you my copy.)
Robert Aickman - Cold Hand in Mine
Peter Straub - Houses Without Doors
Tim Lebbon - Fears Unnamed
Harlan Ellison - The Essential Ellison
Ramsey Campbell - Cold Print
Caitlin R. Kiernan - To Charles Fort, With Love
Any of the "Best New Horror" collections edited by Stephen Jones are a good place to start too.

Dan Simmons' 'Carrion Comfort' is fantastic, as are his short stories. Actually, his story 'The River Styx Runs Upstream' got me into reading, and later writing, horror. You can find the story in the collection 'Prayers to Broken Stones'.
