I just bought this for $4.88 at Wal-Mart. Looks like a typical, low-budget, direct-to-video modern slasher flick, but the backstory of the killer caught my eye. Not very original, but still an interesting concept.
Has anyone seen it? Is it any good? Did I just waste five bucks?

Word for word from the back of the DVD:
"Once a prominent plastic surgeon, Dr. Chopper and his nurses keep themselves alive by harvesting body parts from those unlucky enough to stumble across them. Decades of transplants have left them hideously disfigured and insane. To survive, they need fresh body parts."
There's more on the DVD box, but thats all about Dr. Chopper himself. See what I mean? Not very original, but still a decent concept IMO.

Figured I'd bump this for the hell of it...
Dr. Chopper ended up sitting on my shelf for AGES before I worked up the nerve to watch it...it was actually surprisingly enjoyable. It was far from perfect, but it was on par with most 80's slashers, which is to say that its flawed but 100% better than most modern day slasher-shit.
Fun little movie...not worth going out of your way for, but if you stumble across it in a bargain bin, its probably worth picking up.

You had me had me at "harvesting body parts"...
Good GOD I'm a slasher fiend. I'll have to pick it up, especially with the recommendation.
