Hey I'm having a bunch of friends over next friday to watch a bunch of horror movies so far i've got
1)The texas chainsaw massacre(1974)
2)Castle freak
3)The last house on the left.
4)The hills have eyes(1977)
I'm only going to have 4 movies and I'm not sure if I want these ones or not does anyone know anyones that would be better?

I havent seen Castle Freak or LHOTL, but the other two are great choices. Other good ones for a party could be:

Re-Animator
Return of the Living Dead
Freddy vs Jason
Bubba Ho-Tep
Basket Case

...or any of the movies in my signature

By the way, here's a similar thread that you might want to check out for more ideas:

I think I might buy The return of the living dead i saw it for 4 dollars at a video store across from my house so I guess I'll watch 5 at my party instead.

Are you serious? It's one of the greatest films of all-time, a true classic! I highly recomend the Frankenstein Legacy Collection, it's not very expensive and includes all the Universal Frankenstien films.

This movie is worth FIFTY bucks, let alone the easy 20 you lay down for the collection. Amazing movie. Yes, get it.

And by the way, I reccomend The Evil Dead and Hellraiser.

Get "Frankenstein Meets Wee Willy Wolfman," it's great. The Wolf Man is only one inch tall in this one, he runs up the Monster's arm and tries to bite him, and Frankenstein just swats him off and you hear him scream "Oh!" just before he hits the wall like a June Bug.

Uh, if you will excuse me, it is time for my morning coffee now.

my friends are talking about doing a horror movie night and want to grab one of the MANY horror flicks coming out this month, so this looks like the thread to see which one ya'll would recommend.

The titles mentioned have been Cemetery Man (which is my web surfing seems to be universally loved), Room 6 (which I'm not finding much talk about on-line, I assume because it was/is direct to DVD?) the Hills Have Eyes (which ya'll have commented on above) and the Omen (which I'm curious about given the new one is now in theaters).

I havent' seen any of these before, so I haven't proven much help to my friends in picking one! :(

Cemetery Man is a must have, I think most will tell you that. Room 6 has a great trailer up on You tube which is genuinely creepy! There is also a great review over at the JoBlo site. I think it is worth checking out.
