*Gasp* Sam the Egg? Starting a serious thread?


Anywho, as much as I don't particularly care for these awareness days, I'm supporting this one. For those of you who don't know, the West Memphis Three are three guys who were arrested in 1993 for murdering three 1st grade boys. The arrest and subsequent conviction were based on faulty reasoning and little evidence and prejudice. Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelly are servince life sentences, and Damien Echols is on death row.

If anyone hasn't seen them, I highly recommend that you watch the two Paradise Lost movies. After watching the films, I had no doubt in my mind as to who really killed those boys. Not the guys who took the fall for it, that's for sure.

Rock on! That situation is sickening. It's time to let those kids go, and for them and their parents to sue the shit out of Memphis and the state for the portions of their lives that have been ruthlessly stolen.

The judicial system absolutely must know that those kids are innocent. There's absolutely no way not to know.

May they be released and very soon!!!

And may the Goddess have mercy on the souls of the bastards that took their innocence, because they're going to need it to at least spend their next couple of lives as anything more than (pardon me, S) ameobas.

not sure what the 'pardon me' was for, but yeah. I didn't do much for it today, just wore a "Free the West Memphis Three" sticker and handed a couple out at this art show I went to.


Also, I'm kinda surprised this thread hasn't been more active

It's really disgusting. I was one of those kids growing up, you know? Living in the bible belt, wearing black metal T-shirts, long hair and the whole 9 yards. I was sent to the guidance counselor all the time. I was questioned all the time about worshipping Satan, commiting suicide. It was awful. I had to spend almost a week there once because I drew a chalk drawing of an evil clown. My friend drew a pic of a clown eating a kid, and they didn't even question him because he was on the football team and looked 'normal'

What has happened to these three is one of the worst tragedies in modern American History. I always go back and read the trial info every year at this time. Every time I read it, I grow even more perplexed as to how this could have happened.
