Seri has put Shareaza in here, they can't always find what they're looking for, and it keeps screwing up...

Stupid Shane used to always use Kazaa, which constantly pulled in viruses...

So, they tried Kazaa Lite...And had trouble finding what they wanted

I have ALWAYS only used Ares...I get EVERYTHING I want (and often find things that I didn't know existed) within minutes, which amazes me because I'm on dialup, with no hassles *knocks on wood*...And it is EXTREMELY easy to use, as it would HAVE to be, because I'm computer illiterate, and this Shareaza looks very complicated in comparison........I LOVE Ares!

So...I was wondering what you guys use, what kind of experiences you have had with it, and whether you've ever tried the ones I mentioned and had any problems with them...

I'm also wondering why in the HELL Seri would put this stupid ass Shareaza in here, when I already have Ares...But...I'm sure you guys can't answer that any better than I can

The first one I ever used for file-sharing was Napster. Back then I was on dial-up and my online activities were limited to chatting, emailing and looking for music online, mainly mainstream rock, metal and R&B. Napster was decent for my dial-up (which sucked). After it got outlawed, I was hooked into Morpheus. It was fast, and it always had whatever I searched. The users back then were online most of the time, so there was no problem in downloading files. After 2 years of use, it downloaded a software I needed and brought My-Doom with it, which basically ATE my comp.

After getting a new one, I tried Kazaa. It was good initially, but it kept freezing my comp badly many times, and also downloaded spyware into my comp (so my anti-virus said). Also I usually didnt find what I looked for, so I removed it.

I am using BitTorrent now. Although a bit different than other P2P thingys, it is a decent enough one, esp if one want to DL movies and gaming stuff. But I ll always have a special place for Morpheus. It was faithful and quick for me.

Havent heard about Ares. Will check it out sometime.

Ooh...That reminds me...I have found ALL of the underground stuff I've ever looked for...Except for Zachariah and The Lobos Riders (band from Dead And Breakfast)...But...We look for their CD everywhere we go...It's really hard to find, so it makes since that not many people would have it...

And...Yeah...I think EVERYONE should try Ares, at least once...I hooked my mother up with it and you wouldn't BELIEVE the shit she found with it...I got Simon And Garfunkel's Sounds Of Silence AND King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man...It still amazes me what I can find...

AND Napoleon's 'They're Coming To Take Me Away'....

Okay...I could go on FOREVER, so I'll stop here....

Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack's song AND Sally's song!...

oops...

Okay...I'm really stopping now...:D

I used to used Kazaa, but even running Spybot S & D everyday couldnt keep that from messing with my comp, so I switched to Limewire. It's not perfect, but it's good.

Used to have Kazaa as well, but switched to Morpheus. I haven't had any problems with it.

The first few times we used kazza our computer had a spax attack from all the virus' constantly coming in.

Bearshare didn't seem to find anything I wanted.

I tried bit torrents. There pretty darn good. That azure one was good. But it kept cutting out and dying on me. The same thing happened with abc or something like that.

Morpheus seemed ok. Still gave me virus' tho.

We use soulseek for our music. So many different chatrooms too, and we also used dc++ for any comics that cheebs wants.
DC++ is good. Great connections. But to get into most of the rooms you need a certain amount of gig and certain things too. Otherwise they usually boot you ( and you can't swear in the rooms either or your get banned hhaa).
