You know, I thought Pumkinhead was way underrated. The story is cool, the monster is great in the way that the more it grows the more it looks like the man who called it, and it actually freaked me out a little... I thought that it was cool the way the monster grows out of a corpse instead of a living person....does anybody else have an opinion? I especially loved the whole Appalacian witch slant to it....

Considering they're doing a remake on this one as well .... (ugh!). I'll give it a viewing this week and have an opinion soon after. I haven't seen it in ages.

Pumpkinhead was cool...the story resembled Friday the 13th somewhat as to the origin of the creature...but the treatment was good...and the deaths were nice...

Hopefully they do justice to the remake...

They're remaking the original Pumpkinhead? What the hell was wrong with the first one? I mean, Lance Henriksen, blood, a scary monster and a witch.....how can you go wrong with that? Poor Lance....he'll probably play the corpse in the new one...

Rotten bastards.

Oh my god, I just checked out the thread on the Pumpkinhead sequels coming out....Lance Henriksen is in them as the ghost of Ed Harley....damn them.....I knew one way or the other he'd be a corpse....

Nothing. Hollywood always remakes good movies. It's how they make their money. I mean, look at a lot of the remakes: House on Haunted Hill, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror, Hills Have Eyes, etc. Now, not all of these were bad, but my point is that if a movie was popular or good, it gets remade. Hell, we're getting a Pet Sematary remake sometime soon (why?!?).

Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes

The story centers around Doc Frasier an eccentric small-town physician with a sideline in unauthorized organ donation.

- The character "Bunt" from the first film (the teenager who led Harley to the witch) will be in this film as a man.

- Doug Bradley will play "Doc Fraser," a respected small town doctor and coroner who's been playing a little fast and loose with the corpses at the crematorium.

- Produced by Motion Picture Corporation of America (Pumpkinhead 2, Riding the Bullet).

- Actor Lance Henricksen (lead of the original Pumpkinhead) will have a brief cameo appearance as a ghost.

- Premiering on the SciFi Channel.

- This will film back-to-back with Pumpkinhead 4.

- British director Jake West also worked on Razor Blade Smile and most recently, Evil Aliens.

- This is a direct sequel to the first film; ignoring the sequel that came out in 1994.

Pumpkinhead: Love Hurts

No plot yet, but it's said that it'll be a dark comic tale modeled after the old story of Romeo and Juliet, with the lovable Pumpkinhead as our dear Romeo.

- Filming in Romania.

- Described as more of a "dark comic tale".

- Produced by Motion Picture Corporation of America (Pumpkinhead 2, Riding the Bullet).

- Actor Lance Henricksen (lead of the original Pumpkinhead) will have a brief cameo appearance as a ghost.

- Premiering on the SciFi Channel.

- This will film back-to-back with Pumpkinhead 3.

- Director Michael Hurst also worked on House of the Dead 2: Dead Aim.

It's just not right....who the hell's writing these scripts and what kind of drugs do THEY have?

Sci Fi makes the worst movies on the planet...and it's not just the low budget....the scripts are so lame...anybody else see Cerberus or Alien Lockdown? I gave up watching a while ago.

Miss Olivia

Maybe we're just missing Sci Fi's grander vision....maybe they just want to make so many bad movies that we'll be pitifully appreciative of the crap that comes out in the movie theaters....

Lance: WHY CAIN'T I QUIT YOU!!!???

Pumpkinhead: GRRRROLRRRR

Lance: Oh God, me too.....I can't let go....

Pumpkinhead:grrrlllggggrrrr

Lance: Hold me.....

Sometimes I wonder how far it will really go, this crossing of characters and genres....What if they really did end up making a gory horror version of superman? What about a Spiderman western or a futuristic sci fi version of Gone with the Wind? If the idea pool shrinks enough, it wouldn't suprise me at all....Little fishies in shrinking ponds always turn to cannibalism in the end...

I just can't wait until I see the stoner-comedy version of Casablanca.

i personally dont care if they make more sequels, but fucking remakes is driving me up the wall. god dammit someone needs to get the fact drilled into their heads that a classic is a classic and doesnt need to be ruined by a shitty hollywood remake.

Pumpkinhead in a cop buddy movie.

Pumpkinhead and Martin Lawrence are driving to meet an informant. Pumpkinhead turns on the radio to a classical station.

Martin Lawrence: "Oh hell no! What kind of crazy music you listenin' to, PH?"

Martin Lawrence turns the radio over to rap and starts to dance.

Pumpkinhead: "Roorrrrorrrr!"

Pumpkinhead turns it back to the classical station. The two continue fighting until Pumpkinhead throws the radio out of the car window.

Martin Lawrence: "Damn! Now what we gonna listen to?"

Pumpkinhead: "Rroooorrrrrr!"

I just had a scary thought...

Uwe Boll making the remake of Pumpkinhead in his suckass unimitable style?

What would it be like I wonder...

pit him against video-game zombies?
make Christian Slater run after him in the Dark?
put him against a vampiric Bloodrayne?

hmm...and the movie would be a huge flop and that ll be the last we ll hear from Pumpkinhead...

Miss Olivia

Nah, Pumkinhead has that rare star quality that trancends bad movies....he'll bounce back in a touching drama about menopause starring Bette Midler, or MI:4 alongside Tom Cruise....he'll be nominated for an Oscar, switch to Scientology and be the father of Britney Spears' eighth child....eventually he'll become governor of California....
