You know those kinds of days where it's warm and sunny and sort of quiet out, and you maybe are lucky enough not to have to go to work that day or whatever, and you want to get stuff done but you just feel like passing out or maybe trying to watch TV and then passing out?

I think I associate summer weather with movies, because when I was a kid I mostly saw movies during summer vacation.

Do you like that popcorn smell when you walk into a theatre?

In the South it's hot as hell, literally. The South is where Satan goes for his summer vacation (I'm not implying that the South is a bad place. It's just hot). However, there is the coast. Too bad that everyone loves the coast. I always liked the smell of the ocean at night.

I love the sounds of summer evenings. I like the whirring of little insects and the summer frogs. It's also cooler in the evenings, though not by much. We sit out on our back balcony and chat, have a few drinks and listen to the summer's natural orchestra and watch the heat lightning.

Now it's the thunderstorms that summer brings that get me. Like many people on this forum, there is nothing I love more than a thunderstorm. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it also just cleans the atmospere. Living close to a major city and all, a clean atmosphere in the summer is pretty handy. It's a little dangerous, but I like to watch a storm come in, right before it gets bad, and watch the lightning. Once, the hairs on your body start to rise, you should probably go inside.

The one other thing that I don't like about summer is that you don't get a good night view of the sky, and I think that's due to haze (if it's something else, feel free to explain). I love a good night's view of the celestial realm. It's beautiful in the winter, but summer, it's too hazy and you never get a good view.

I hate the summer. Too damn warm. It's already satarting here, today was muggy, hot and gross. Another thing I dont like is it gets dark too late, stays warm forever. The only benefit of summer is getting out of school, but that kind of sucks too because I have nothing to do. Last summer I spent my days on here. I just got myself a job though, so I guess that will cut down on the boredom...

Seattle weather was the best. I really miss it there. When we had a thunderstorm, it was an event. It only happened like once a year. On a cool summer evening, if it started to storm, you'd see people all around the neighborhood flock to their porches. It was a great community feeling. Everyone was out, drinks in hand. Couples had their arms around each other, and everyone was just silent, watching the lightning.

It really was a beautiful thing.

I love thunderstorms in the summer, they are so cooling and refreshing. They make me want to do the happiness dance.

If the South is where Satan goes for vacation, then why are we in the "God Forsaken North"?

I like it when it's 75 and slightly rainy

That's the best thing ever, like when i'm at destin, going onto the hotel deck at 2 am and just sitting and listening to waves. I'm such a basic person.

Summer equals softball leagues, so I'm all for it. Stop qatching movies and go play, boys and girls! There's a whole world out there!
