Hello - thought I'd introduce myself.
Been lurking about on the site for a while now and registered today.
Likes:
Film: Hammer, Amicus (and anything with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee). Just getting into Japanese horror, although have a long way to go.
Books: Edgar Alan Poe, Dean Koontz, "ghost" stories
Art: Francis Bacon
Wants: Original or copies of 1930s to 1970s horror movie posters/flyers/advertisements
Memorable films growing up: The Creeping Flesh, The Skull
Ideal Sunday afternoon: pottering around the British Museum in London looking at the Egyptian mummies or DVD Hammer horror- fest with curtains drawn
Real life horror: having to have house defumegated following discovery of a two-week old (and badly demposed) dead body (true story)
Dislikes: Gratuituous violence and slasher movies, Hollywood big budget films leaving nothing to the imagination
Look forward to chatting to you all

Thanks for the welcome all ....(i think)
To the 'slasher fans' - sorry if i offended, i just find that they don't scare me - i prefer the 'leaving to the imagination type films' as i totally believe that anyone's imaginaton is better than any special effects hollywood could give us.
Any hammer horror fiilm enthusiasts on this site?
By the way, i have 9 hours until my bid wins a bunch of original hammer horror merchandise from ebay.
:D
