I'm looking forward to the remake of the omen. I have tried to track down information on Gordon McGill's novels Omen IV and Omen V (not the made for TV Omen IV). These two carried on the omen plot with familiar characters.

I had tried to contact Fox Studios, no luck until I found the archive dept, I'm digging deeper to find out what happened to these two novels and why they didn't make it to the big screen. I'm hoping the remake generates enough interest to maybe continue the story with these two novels. The plots are good and any Omen fan would really enjoy the concepts in them.

If anyone has any info or contact info on Gordon McGill, please advise.

It's too late.

The series is done. I'm looking forward to the remake-or whatever it is that 'The Omen 666' is- from my memory of the third 'Omen', two more sequels would not do well.

I'm sure 'Omen' fans would love them...but there's just not enough of them to make it a worthwhile time/money investment. So I wouldn't get your hopes up. No offense, just putting in my two cents worth.

I'm sure that is what happened in the 80's after The Final Conflict, but one can always have hope.

If they can drag out the Halloween and Friday the 13th movies, maybe two more movies from the novels would work!

Oh well,

Exactly, man. Keep the hope up, and who knows? Sometimes Hollywood can surprise us.

You never know, keep your fingers crossed.

But the omen isn't that well known, like halloween and friday. The preview for the Omen remake actually spooked me... It was like, 3 am, and it showed some demon thing in red, spooky.

The teaser was brilliant.

The advertising campaign for this film is fucking brilliant. I must say I'm pretty pumped.

Of course I'll see it on 6-6-06.

I hated The omen series but for some reason I think the remake will be better.

I'm glad there is some interest in the remake and maybe we may be able to see a couple of sequels too.

If anyone has a contact to Gordon McGill, the author of Omen IV and V, please pass it along.

We all know how the Final Conflict ends, but the sequels he pinned are great! If you are fan and didn't know about these two novels, track them down and enjoy.

I've never seen any of the "Omen" movies but the teaser for this one really got me interested. If I like it then I'll definitely have to check out the others.

Why do you have to wait for this one to check out the others?

Why do you have to wait to see if you like the remake to see a classic?

Because the originals have never interested me in the least. I've seen bits and pieces of all 4, and they just bore the shit out of me. And since I see almost every single new horror movie in the theatres anyways, if I in any way enjoy this one then there's a good chance that the original is that much better.

How 'bout this:

If you are going to see the new one for sure, why not rent the original FIRST and then, as planned, go see the new one?

The original is great, Gregorgy Peck, Lee Remick and a great supporting cast. I agree with your advise, see the original before the remake...

Then you will want to see the sequels, skip Omen IV, made for TV that was junk. The series continues on with two original novels by Gordon McGill Omen IV and Omen V, much better, that is how my posts got started, I'm hoping they (FOX STUDIOS) will one day greenlight these novels into movies.

I doubt it, but you never know.

This two disc bad-ass edition of the original will be released on June 20th.

thanks for the heads up, I will be looking forward to the release.

Have you read the two novels by Gordon McGill, Omen IV and V. Pretty good stuff if you liked the storyline.
