Okay, I know this isn't horror, but is this any good?
I'm interested in it for numerous reasons, the two main being that Dustin Hoffman is my favorite modern day actor and that I hear it's very powerful and very disturbing.
Any good? Some reviews, please?

one sympathetic character, fairly slow buildup, decent climax, shitty and pretentious ending

Deffo worth checking out - A classic that should be watched at least once

I was thinking of picking this up myself because it was in a cheap bin. Its a decent flick, not as intense/brutal as its reputation would have you believe. Probably the better of the Peckinpah films I've watched and its a goodie if you're down with revenge films.

decent film, banned in the UK for many years due to the shameful Rape/she loves it really scene.

^^ Yeh that scene is pretty whack.
Brought this today and I'll give it a spin again in the next couple of days and bore you with what I thought about it.

I've always liked Straw Dogs better. The Wild Bunch is cool but just goes on for WAY to long, some great moments tho and dig its bloodthirstyness.

At a department store over here called the Warehouse. It was half the already reduced price so I got it for $4.

Pfft. The Last Walk scene is more powerful than the entire film of Straw Dogs put together

Gonna be a bit controversial (sp?) and say I didn't like it. Seems a bit overrated to me.
