It doesn't matter what country for me, it's all about the 80's.
In recent years though, overseas looks like it's the place to be. We Americans need to get our act together and give them a run for their money. And we need to quit remaking shit they are coming up with first.

That seems to differ from fan to fan. I personally can't pick. I happen to like them both. The dad character is better in the original film, but the remake has the whole horse thing. So I can't choose.

I don't know from experience, but I would assume originally Asian or Mexican horror would be the best. I would think that the Asians and Mexicans would have better horror stories just because both of them seem a bit more "mystical" in history and with that comes some pretty horrendous shit.

i beleive that british horror films are the best but maybe its because most of them include the british army somehow and i like the way british directors make the films (on a low budget) cheap
exstremely interesting and good to watch any time...

A lot of spooky stories come from Mexico - I don't know that the movies are actually made there, but I'd imagine the stories that hail from there are pretty good.
Like I said though, I have no experience with this at all - I'm just a lowly beginner :D

Rodriguez is from Mexico as well, but I wouldn't call From Dusk Till Dawn a Mexican horror movie. It's just not an import you know. Much like Blade II and Mimic.
However, Cronos and The Devil's Backbone I will agree with. I really can't think of any others. I want to say a few titles, but I think they are Spanish, not Mexican. Like Angel of the Night, One Hell of a Christmas, and a few others.
