For the past 3 hours I've been doing all the ad-ware, spybot, and anti-virus stuff I've got trying to delete the 300+ clusterfuck of viruses I got all at once. It put registry keys, modules, all kinds of shit. I think I've finally got most of it taken care of, but symantec keeps giving this warning, and whatever it was loaded fucking Surf Sidekick onto my computer. Word of warning for those who don't know: Surf Sidekick is the fucking devil

*gets ready to check out surf sidekick to see what Sam is talking about......Oh, wait a minute, that's probably not a good idea*:D
Any idea where it came from?

go to my computer, c drive docs and settings i think, your name.? then try and find the TEMP folder and delete all the crap in it, that helps.

I got an unlocker program so I could delete the Surf Sidekick, then uninstalled it from the Add/Remove Programs thing. But I've still got something because I've got almost 70 processes running and something changed my homepage again. I think I'm making some big progress though, cause I've only got 3 Critical Objects left on Ad-Aware, although 1 is a process and the others are Registry Values, so it's still pretty bad.

ok, 25 hours later and it's still not fixed, and I've thrown everything I've got at it (and I even downloaded more stuff to throw at it). So, thanks to that, I didn't get to do hardly any of my April Fool's character

at the time I had only been on 4 websites (3 boards including this one, and a site I go to to get DVD covers) and AIM. As I type this, btw, I have to constantly stop to close these fucking pop-ups, and whatever it is changes the ad banners at the top of the page. If anybody knows what nfgfj.exe and wvpbjk.exe are and how to get rid of them, help a brotha out

you. kick. ass. I think in uninstalled one of the anti-spyware things I already had, but it also seems to have fixed my problem. Fair trade, given the thing I had was free and all. Thanks a bunch

Hmmm...But...Now I have a question....Why is it downloading Ad-Aware and Spybot when I already have those?
Is this normal?...Or...Did I screw something up...As usual?

Now it's downloading Spy Sweeper
I guess it just gives you lots of different things to catch every possible problem...
But, still...I would think it should be able to 'determine' which programs I already have
Anyway...I'll see what happens when it's done

yeah, I had Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D, too, and it tried to load them. I let it do its thing with Spybot, but stopped it from loading Ad-Aware, which is probably why I don't have it anymore. I'm getting an updated version of Ad-Aware anyways, so it's no big deal

Yeah, after it finished doin' its thing, I checked and my old Ad-Aware and Spybot were removed...So, that makes sense
Thanks for the vote of confidence Slasherman:)
