i saw the fog today & it was just ok. nothing to bragg about. the first one was much better, even though it was low- buget.. remember the saying, the first is always better than the remake. although thats not always the truth.

I walked out of this movie at the theater about 20-30 minutes in. Fortunately it was matinee price.

I loved the original...but Im almost afraid to see this. Not because it looks scary of course, because it looks like garbage. Ill probably give it a chance eventually though...

Horrible. HORRIBLE.

Even the House of Wax remake was better.

HORRIBLE!

Carpenter didn't have anything to do with this remake, so don't pin it on him, Mr. Guru.

HORRIBLE!

Couldn't have said it better (though I thought that the House of Wax remake wasn't too bad)!

@Return- Just pass this retched piece of shit by!

House of Wax was fine. I still don't understand why people hate it so much. It was original by slasher standards, plenty gory, somewhat disturbing, andparis hilton dies. The acting wasn't THAT bad, compared to most movies, so, what was the major problem?

Well, the acting, i agree with you to an extent, but it wasn't too bad.

I don't understand what was wrong with the story, i thought it was very nice, and they even threw some symbolism in the movie too, pretty cool.

I'm with you on it not being that bad of a movie. But, I did think they dragged out the plot a bit too much. They didn't have to much of a plot, and for them to stretch it out made no sense and di drag the film down a bit. But, that's just my opinion. I still did have a good time watching this. I'll buy it when it gets really cheap.

It was just a bit dull, and a dissapointment to the title, as it didn't even touch the original, quality or plot wise.

It wasn't bad , but it wasn't good .

I think i'd give it like, a 7.5 out of 10. It was pretty cool, and the actor who played the killer was great.

Sounds reasonable, little less than I gave it.

I liked the House of Wax remake, I thought it was much more graphic than the MTV "Inside Look" shows implied. I liked the death scenes, I thought (and still think) Elisha Cuthbert is a terrific actress, and although not terribly SCARY... there were some overall cool moments.

The Fog however.... The Fog. I watched that movie on DVD at like, 3 in the afternoon and was booooored to teeeeears. I've never stopped a movie before its finished, but I was seriously considering it.

That's what I did, got it on sale for $6. As for "The Fog", it wasn't horrible, but it sure could've been made way better. I did like some of the kill scenes like 'fire guy', although I laughed at how the kid's aunt started rotting away when the arm grabbed her. She was fully intact, though completely rotted, and 1 second later, she's a totally charred skull with traces of flesh as she lands on the floor. I do prefer the creepy tones of the original, but it's too slow and I think it was the priest who was the only person who died in it at the very end. The remake was much faster paced, cool kill scenes, a couple not-so-good CGI effects, hence not as well made. I'll buy the remake when it gets marked down to $5.

I preferred the original much more than the remake. There just seemed to be nothing really interesting in the remake. I tried to like but I just couldn't get into it.

I found the original to be better, but I still give this movie a 7/10 :)

Saw this really cheap at Blockbuster, but decided to pass because of all your negative comments. I do kind of want to see it though, I'll rent it.
