Got this the other day after seeing the trailer on the Saw 2 dvd. i really liked it but found "Dumplings" a bit grim. The wife watched the first ten minutes, said it was sick & would'nt watch it. i noticed theirs a Three Extremes 2, Anyone seen it, is it worth getting?

hmm .. i thought it was in the 'last seen asian movie' thered but there's just a couple folks mentioning they saw dumplings.

i know someone went into detail somewhere on 3 extremes but i cant find it now..

not sure if #2 was mentioned - but something tells me it was.

i havent seen it - and after the review i heard - i think i'll pass on that one

Yeah, i know what you mean. Out of the three films i expected Takashi's to be the grossest but his contribution was quite tame. Park Chan-Wooks (OLDBOY) segment was the best IMO.

i preferred "cut"

p.s.

three extremes 2 is actually three

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0324242/

and three extremes is actually the "sequel" to three.......work that out

"going home" is my fav of the three stories, but hey....i'm a sucker for eric tsang

"cut" was deffinatly my fav of the 3 Extremes.

I tried really hard to get into Takashi Miike's "Box" but I just couldnt do it. Sucks.

To appeal to current trends in different countries, sometimes misleading audiences in the process but making more dollars because people are thick and stupid.

Or so they say.

well the sequel/prequel (whichever you want to call it) is enjoyable

I read somewhere (unfortunately, I can't recall the source) that Miike-san stated that he was tired of making horror movies, and didn't really want to do any more. I think that this really came across in "Box." I liked the film, but it seemed... workmanlike. That's the best word I can think of to describe it. "Dumplings" was the best of the three, in my opinion. I'm going to have to seek out the other films in the series, now that I know about them.
